I have been a patient on an as-needed basis for about 9 years. Recently I scheduled appointments with him to deal with blood-pressure / blood draw phobia. He used an amazing technique called EMDR -- and it immediately worked to reverse a problem I've suffered for 30+ years. This superb result changed my life, but it isn't the first time Dr. Powers has done that. As a psychotherapist he has astounded me (and others I've referred) with his friendly demeanor combined with powerful insights. For marital issues, he's terrific. Dr. Powers is the best I've ever seen.
