Dr. Ruiz is crass and rude. Seems to me like he has trained his office help and they are not certified.

It is clear Dr. Ruiz and his staff (Jackie and Kendra) care very much for their patients. They are pleasant when you come in, get to know you on a first name basis and provide excellent service all around. Dr Ruiz is extremely knowledgable and truly improved the quality of my life with a procedure I recently underwent. Thank you so much to you and your team!

This was my first time as a patient to this office Dr. Ruiz himself was as good as they get..... However the staff is sub par. I was sent to have a sleep study done and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. After 2 weeks of having the results the Study facility called me to see if I could call Dr. Ruiz's office to get my prescription sent over so I could pick up the machine. I called spoke with the front desk in the am. Was assured he would sign the Rx. and they would call me when this was done... I called back in the afternoon and spoke with a different person witch knew nothing of my original call. She then told me the first girl left early failing to get the Dr. to sign my Rx.!! Called back the next morning and was told that it would be done A.S.A.P. I then asked why it was so difficult to get a signature and was told that I called after hours the second time. What??? Still haven't received the Rx. and having trouble sleeping. Dr. Ruiz you need to consider your staff as they are a reflection of your practice.!!!!

My toddler was referred to Dr. Ruiz for tubes. He said yes tubes but no water play/pool after the tubes were in, because water could cause infection / loss of hearing. I knew this was not true, I myself had tubes as a child. Dr. Ruiz suggested to get the ear bandit for the water/sand table. He also suggested to wash my child (not hair) then get/use waterless shampoo for the next 18 months. I Decided to get a second opinion and glad we did. Not only did my child need tubes - but it was identified, the adenoids needed to come out also. Finally, the point here, he missed diagnosed and is using old thinking / technology which in the end wouldn’t have addressed all the issues to begin with. Don’t go early before 9am thinking you will be able to fill out paperwork. The door is locked until your appointment. We Stood in the cold for 20 minutes with a toddler. Maybe he hasn’t worked with children/kept up to date? Maybe better with adults?

Dr. Ruiz is a very nice man, however he did nothing to help me. I had an ultrasound? test or perhaps it was a CT scan or MRI and he found polyps in both my sinuses. He said he could remove them, but wouldn't because I also have leukemia. Why that matters I have no idea. I'm forced to breathe out of my mouth at night causing a horrible dry mouth condition which has negatively affected my entire life. He spent more an enormous time praying over me than doing anything. I don't believe religion should take the place of competent medical care. He also told me about his childhood illness which I guess inspired him to become a doctor. His history should have no bearing on my treatment (or lack of).  I now have chronic sinusitis. On my last appointment with him, his "medical" advice was to take zinc supplements and to buy a book on some kind of health diet. Sorry, don't remember exactly what book he recommended.  Please save yourself time and do not ever see Dr. Ruiz. I would never recommend him to anyone.

I'm so sick of Dr's that have terrible bedside manner. I'm only 31, and came in with my wife and 2 kids. I have a neck mass that needed looked at. After hemming and hawing, he sends me to get a biopsi, he tells me lets call it cancer until noted otherwise. Now he said this In front of my family. What a jerk! When went to get another opinion he refered me to, it took his front office 9 weeks to send the info. I'm pissed, and think this jerk needs to consider what he says in front of kids. Btw, I'm fine.

Dr. Ruiz saved my husband's life 20 years ago. By taking the time and care to get to the bottom of his problem, discovered he had cancer in the roof of his mouth. He was genuinely concerned about not only his problem, but how I was as well. He did surgery and 20 years later he is still cancer free!! Recently my son starting having issues with his throat and I took him to see Dr. Ruiz, he remembered my husband and was very pleased with his progress. I highly recommend Dr. Ruiz to everyone - he is the most considerate, caring, genuine Doctor I have dealt with...all I can say is Thank God for Dr. Ruiz, he is AWESOME!!!!

I have been to numerous doctors over a 4 year period and no one could help correctly diagnose my condition, and said my only option was surgery to hopefully fix what ailed me. Dr. Ruiz was able to diagnose quickly and put me on a simple treatment plan requiring no surgery. Finally, after 4 years, I am finding relief. Dr. Ruiz and his staff are professional, caring, and extremely efficient. They truly care about my health and wellness!

I wanted to share my experience with severe sinus issues. I had allergies all my life but over the last few yrs they were much worse. Since Dec of last yr I began having a runny nose, migraines & congestion. It turns out I had a large mass & sinus blockage. I was very scared until I met Dr. Richard Ruiz. Everyone in his office was so nice, professional & accommodating. He carefully went through my CT scan with me & gave me detailed information that I could understand. He was very knowledgeable & helped me understand exactly what the issue was & my options to resolve it. I had Dr. Ruiz perform my procedures because of the trust & faith established during my office visits. I cannot begin to describe the difference in my quality of life since my surgery. I breathe better than I can ever remember, my migraines are gone & my sense of smell improved. I am so impressed by Dr Ruiz & I know that choosing him was definitely the right choice. DR. Ruiz & his staff are nothing less than FABULOUS!

Our whole family has seen this doctor. I no longer see him because he ordered tests for my specific concern and never called never followed up in the results of an MRI. My husband and son have continued to see him for years only to have to make continual follow up appointments for a product that he has had them on since day one called Veramyst which is a steroid nasal spray. I don't trust it for such a long term use and this doctor has done nothing to resolve the problem other that continuing to prescribe the same prescription for the same problem requiring the costly follow up appointments. I told my husband that he and our son are like cash cows for this doctor. I think they need to go to someone else who is really interested in helping them and get them off this chemical (that they are obviously dependent on now) and find another approach that might actually help.
