I am 72 and had never been operated on. I was petrified at the thought of having to undergo a Total Knee Replacement. And even though I had heard my share of horror stories, because of my age I knew that I couldn’t convince myself that I should wait. I did as much research as I could and zeroed in on Dr. Michalson. Still, I did not know… and would not until he had performed the surgery. What can I say? Dr. Michalson has miracle hands. The recovery has been so much easier than I expected. Within a couple of days, I coud walk at home unassisted and I was driving 3 weeks after surgery. My physical therapist asked me what I had done to “score” him? I have no idea but I am so grateful and I feel like I have been given an incredibly precious gift. Isabelle

I have now had two events with Dr Michalson and his team. He replaced my hip a couple of years ago and recently replaced my knee. In both events, he and his team were extremely caring and informative and the result of both procedures is that I am pain free. I highly recommend Dr Michalson and would definitely use him in the future if needed.

My total knee replacement is a total success! I will be forever grateful for Dr. Michalson’s level of care to me throughout the entire process. I am so lucky to have had Dr. Michalson as my surgeon. I also appreciated his staff - a fantastic team.

Dr Michalson, has now repace
Dr Michalson has now replaced both hips. He is the best, so caring and helpful. My pain is gone, walking, playing golf, playing pickleball and having fun pain free!
If you hurt, see him, he will take care of you!

My leg hurt for almost a year because of a stress fracture that had broken almost completely through. Dr. Michaelson discovered this with an MRI. I had my MRI on a Thursday, Dr. Michaelson called me (from home) the next day to tell me what he had found and explained my options. I decided on surgery and it was scheduled for Monday. I was a little nervous because it seemed to happen so quickly but, Dr. Michaelson and his staff were amazing and very reassuring. I was up walking on my own three days after my surgery and back running just three months later. I’m so grateful for Dr. Michaelson.

After many months of hip pain, I saw Dr. Michalson and selected him because of his medical training and area of expertise. My initial visit was informative, he was compassionate, and the staff was very caring and helpful. I had a total hip replacement within 3 weeks of my initial visit. I was offered other forms of treatment but I agreed with his recommendation that a hip replacement would provide the most relief of the pain and had surgery during the summer of COVID-19. My care was wonderful and I was out of bed and walking within 2 hours of being in the recovery room! I always felt safe in Dr. Michalson's and the staff's care and practice to prevent COVID.

I would highly recommend Dr. Michalson, everything that he explained prior to my surgery came true and now, I wonder why I waited to have tit done!!

I want to thank you, Dr. Michalson, and your staff for the excellent, friendly, professional care I received for the emergency surgery to repair the compound fracture to my right arm. In that emergency situation you clearly and professionally explained the procedure putting my concerns and anxiety at ease. I can’t say enough about your skillful ness, the repair to my right arm is exceptional. The incision line is hardly noticeable thanks to your medical staffs suturing expertise. It is nice to be treated so well, thank you.

If you're getting hip replacement surgery, think twice before having Jared Michalson do it.
The hip/leg Dr. Michalson operated on came out one centimeter shorter than the other one. This is apparently OK in the hip replacement world.
On top of that, he won't operate again to fix what he broke...at least not at a free or reduced cost. I even asked if he'd not charge me the $1,500 on top of the 10K my insurance already paid for his fee and he wouldn't even do that.
Then you have to learn to live lopsided. Even after you go get the lifts he sends you to get made you still feel lopsided...my active life is forever damaged. Walking is now a chore.
Note: (I don't know about all the doctors at Advanced Orthopedics this is only about Dr. Michalson)

Dr. Jared Michalson and his staff were awesome. They take the time to listen to any questions and offer solutions to make you feel more comfortable with anything. I had both knees replaced with in 10 month and they were there every step of the way to assure me how I was doing. They always answered correspondence. I highly recommend Dr. Jared Michalson for any of your Orthopedic needs.

We all hope to live a life free of medical concerns, but when concerns do arise there is nothing you want more than a quality doctor who is looking out for your best interest. When I broke my arm in a snowboarding accident I consulted with Dr. Michalson about my options for treatment. My biggest concern was my long term well being, my injury was rather severe and since I live a very active lifestyle I was afraid of what the injury would mean for my future. Dr. Michalson understood my concerns and he made sure to clearly explain all my options, advising me on what he would do in my position and what the benefits and risks of all the options were. I never felt pressured to choose one option or the other, instead, I felt that I was being well informed and I was working with somebody who wanted to make sure I found the best treatment for my needs. In the end I decided to have surgery to repair my arm and that surgery was performed by Dr. Michalson. Thanks to his excellent work in providing me all the information on the process I was able to go into the procedure feeling prepared rather than uncertain and safe rather than in danger. The surgery was performed with no complications and after 2 weeks I was able to start physical therapy and slowly resume using the arm. After only 12 weeks my strength and range of motion was back and by 20 weeks I was back to doing strength training and feel like I was living my normal life. While everyone's experience will differ and there is no way to compare one persons situation to another, I can promise you that Dr. Michalson will treat you with respect and will help you to find the best treatment option for your specific situation. I could not be happier with the quality of service I was provided and am forever grateful for the fact that I was able to make a quick and full recovery from my injury.
