He tipstoes around diagnoses and uses nicknames for everything. Goes on and on about a MTHFR gene and theorizes that you have that instead of any mental illnesses. Constantly talks about other patients. When I brought up a specific mental disability I was sure I had he talked about Male symptoms and how my symptoms were weirdly presenting (when its literally proven female and Male usually present symptoms of the disorder differently).

I was very impressed with how knowledgeable Dr. David Freed was. He is also an unusually observant practitoner and his ability to focus and listen carefully made all the difference in the evaluation process. His evaluation was by far the most professional and thorough that I have ever received (And I have spent thousands of dollars [out of pocket] for an evaluation at the well-respected Amen clinic.) Dr. Freed was highly skilled, very intuitive and he was able to determine the specific tests that I needed. I am easily fatigued and dr. Freed had no issue with scheduling a second appointment to complete the appropriate tests to measure learning disabilities, symptoms of traumatic brain injury and PTSD. In the past, my "case" had been labeled as complicated by other physicians who seemed overwhelmed and incapable of interpreting my test results in any meaningful or helpful way. I was relieved to see that Dr. Freed seemed undaunted and had no difficulty sorting out the test results. He was able to explain how my conditions overlap and how they are in many ways, interrelated. His conclusions concurred with much of what I had already suspected based on my life experiences and the diagnosis' were similar to the results from past evaluations with other physicians. But his time, I felt no stigma or shame. Additionally, Dr. Freed found some very critical distinctions that made sense to me and dramatically changed my outlook to one that seemed rather hopeless to one that felt much more promising. I left feeling much more confident that I could successfully pursue a better quality of life. It helped knowing that the tests were objective and carefully administered by a physician who was clearly compassionate, exceptionally intelligent, unusually experienced and held and outstanding ability to observe subtle and easy to miss details. I often leave such appointments feeling miserable and I was amazed at how positive I felt after the evaluation. Karen (the office manager) and Dr. Freed are wonderful people who are deeply committed to helping their patients live happier and more productive lives. Even more so, they excel in their work.
