The dark haired lady at reception, was 100%...but the rest of the nursing staff (cookie) was so rude and said things that she should have her licensed taken away. YES...she said she was representing you...Dr? Callis. After 5 or 6 appointments...it became obvious, that this office just brings you back to fill their pockets. I had no medical changes or improvements after being under their care. I call these medical places.... THE "NEXT DR's". Next! Also Dr Callis, your reports said you did things? I would not recommend this Doctor or surely her Cookie staff? I rated you low on Knowledge...as you don't even know what your own medical staff tell your women patients.

When I first saw Dr. Callis I was very happy and really liked her, and felt comfortable with the plan, and how she treated my SLE. Well, after she was in the Salem office for a while, she started to expand and add on A LOT and also opened another Office in a different city. Needless to say she spread herself way to thin. I showed up to my appointment one day and checked in, but was quickly told that I no longer saw Dr. Callis, and now saw Dr. Mendez (saw and do NOT recommend). No one ever called to tell me or ask me what I thought--just threw me out like that weeks trash. What was even more disappointing was that when I saw her in the office that day I was nothing but nice, smiled and said hello. She literally kept her head down, pretended not to see me and walked right by. Uh...awkward since I had seen her for over 5 appointments and she was always very chatty. Her office staff were also not the kindest people out there. Always felt like you were "putting them out" or annoying them--even just to make a follow up appointment. I'm sad to say that I think she got a little money hungry and tries to expand, open up and enlarge her practice way too quickly!

I have been with Dr. Callis for several years now. She is extremely helpful and polite. She really knows a lot about her field of medicine. Her staff I have found to be very easy to work with.. I would give her a very high recommendation.

Dr. Callis herself is a good doctor her office staff leaves a lot to be desired. My wife was a patient of hers and she thought she was working gratas since Dr Callis was not in our insurance at the time she now is! The moment my wife told them she visited the doctor who our insurance sent her to the office staff called the pharmacy and cancelled all her scripts as well as trying to stop her Humara. Dr Callis got PAID FOR EVERY VISIT she was not working for free. We received a services paid on your behalf letter. I think Dr Callis needs to review her office practices as well as maybe FIRE some of her staff plus who wants a physician who doesn't post her e-mail address or even have a way to complain when service is below par. We give Dr Callis a F- rating..

I really liked Dr. Callis when I first started to see her and recommended quite a few people to her. However the next thing I knew she was expanding the office hugely, opened a new office in a different city, yet she moved patients to other docs (including me) with no explanation other than she couldn't see as many patients. So why open the new practice if you can't accommodate the current one you have? I was very disappointed with the entire situation and have since moved on.

She is relatively new to Salem. Other doctors have called her a breath of fresh air in her field of rheumotology. She has been aggressive in the treatment of my arthritis. The staff can be slow.
