I wouldn’t to anyone who needs dental surgery. I had a wisdom tooth pulled on December 1 ,2017 and he ruined my lip, gums and left in the root and now I have permanent nerve damage. He does not have a 3 dimensional X-ray so how could have wanted to operate again when he couldn’t even see the damage he did to me. I am going to report him to the American dental association. He is totally incompetent as is his associates. His office had the audacity to send me a bill. Now I need surgery again but this time I am going to the University of Pennsylvania to real dentists .

My husband was having all of his teeth pulled so he could get dentures and had been suffering in pain for months prior to having this procedure done so he was looking forward to having this done to be in no more pain. Not even 10 minutes after they took him back, I (and everyone else in the waiting room) could hear him screaming and crying in pain. I knew it was my husband and not another patient and asked the girls at the front window why was he crying out in pain like that if he was supposed to be under anesthesia and they said that he was asleep and feeling no pain and that everyone has different reactions to anesthesia. My husband has never had any kind of bad reaction to anesthesia and I could tell that he was crying like that because he was in pain and could probably feel everything the dentist was doing. Sure enough he cried the whole time and about 10 minutes later I went back up to the window and demanded to know what was going on and again they tried to tell me he was in no pain and I said he would not be crying out like that if he wasn't in any pain. I told them they needed to take me back there so that I could see for myself that he was asleep and they told me no I was not allowed and that he was done anyway and they were cleaning him up. Five minutes later they called me back and when I walked in the room he was still hysterical and I could tell by the look on his face that he in fact did feel almost everything the entire time. He told me that he woke up 3 different times and the dentist had a conversation with him telling him they were almost done and they just had a couple more to do. So obviously the dentist knew that he was awake and could feel everything. My husband said the nurses held him down when he woke up because he was freaking out and wanted me in there. Dr Richman rushed the entire procedure and because he woke up he didn't take the time to give him more anesthesia he just kept working on him. They didn't even numb him and if they did he probably wouldn't have felt as much. I freaked out on the dentist and asked him how could he continue working on him knowing that he was in pain still and that he was awake and could feel everything and his response was I gave him as much medication as I could without killing him. He asked my husband a few questions to see what he remembered and when my husband told him step by step what happened during the procedure and repeated back to the dentist things he said during the procedure, the dentist just said to the nurse to get his prescriptions and after care instructions and walked out of the room basically telling the nurse to get us out of the office because he knew that he made a huge mistake. We weren't given any kind of paper work telling us what was done or how many teeth were even pulled nor did the dentist even try and explain to us what he did. He should have his license taken from him. How do you not explain to your patients what you are doing to them before you do it and not give them any kind of paperwork stating what was done afterwards? I will not stop here, I will be reporting him to the board of dentistry for the state of Pennsylvania and whoever else I can report him to. The only nice person there was his nurse. The place is constantly overbooking appointments and that is why the dentists rush the patients in and out of there. It took no longer than 30 minutes for them to take out at least 15 teeth from my husbands mouth. From the time they took him back until the time we walked out the door only an hour had gone by. That is unacceptable. I hope my review will help someone change their mind about going to this place to have any kind of work done. I would not wish this kind of treatment on my worst enemy!

Dr Richman pulled all 4 of my wisdom teeth plus 1 other back tooth. I thought he did a good job and have not had any problems after the surgery. I had no swelling, no bruising, no bleeding, no pain, I was perfectly fine. The office does seem to be rushing a lot but I guess thats anywhere you go. I was overall very happy with my experience and recommended him to my husband. He just went for his consultation and Dr Richman answered all of our questions (my husband is having a more serious procedure then I did) so we had more questions this time around. Hoping his surgery goes as well as mine did!

I have had problems with an extraction performed by dr richman well over threemonths ago. If it wasn't for a wonderful oral surgeon at another hospital who fixed his several mistakes I would probably still be in a lot of pain and have bone fragments still left in my socket that he said he had removed. He doesn't explain to you any type of procedures and does rush you a bit. He also does not seem to be aware of the errors he has made or the proper solutions to fix them. Please trust me when I tell you please seek your oral care elsewhere. Even though I had to have yet another oral procedure to correct his carekess mustake I am so thankful and happy I found a physician that could properly care for my needs in an attentive and caring matter

If you are in need of an oral surgeon, please look elsewhere. Dr. Richman does not have a very good bedside manner and is often very rushed, not taking the time to explain things to his patients. I did also notice that he is very curt to his nurses and staff. I had a tooth extracted and had several problems for several weeks after and had to have my regular dentist intervine. Even with my regular dentist's assistance, I had to go back to Dr. Richman for additional procedures, which should not have been the case for only one tooth extraction. I have had other dental work in the past and have seen other doctors. I only wished that that group of doctors did not move out of the area as I had total and complete trust in that group. I have absolutely no trust or faith in Dr. Richman, not only in his medical field but also in his professional office atmosphere as to how he treats his patients and his staff. I suggest going to another doctor for any type of dental work you need.
