Dr. Widman came highly recommended and I felt confident I would have a high quality root canal that was admittedly, by the referring dentist, a difficult one. The proceedure went efficiently until he allowed some disinfectant to migrate past the rubber dam and into my mouth. After he quickly finished the filling, while I was choaking on the chemical, I asked him if I could spit it out. His solution to the problem was to spray water into my mouth and tell me to swallow. His later apology was,"we try not to let that happen".
The burning in my stomach lasted until late afternoon and the filling dislodged within 6 months and had to be replaced. I was in Mexico, for 6 months, at the time and was faced with a situation that's the stuff of bad dreams. I had the filling replaced there for $35 USD, thinking you get what you pay for. So the entire debacle cost a mear $1135. Time will tell whose work excel's.

I have been to Dr. Widman twice, and he is always professional and does great work. Really is mindful of my comfort level. I will keep going to him.

I went to dr Widman for a tooth that needed a root canal. I had gone to Dr Widman For a root canal some years earlier when I was newk to Bellingham. I ended up up losing that tooth because he missed a canal to clean out. That is what my dentist told me. This time, he did a root canal and he left the tootb open with a big dip in the middle. I could probably tolerate that, if not for the fact that that when he filled the tooth,he left the cement SO RAZOR sharp that has made two holes in the sides of my tongue. It hurts so much that every time I talk,swallow ,chew, etc,, my tongue tears at the holes. Bleeds and I can't take the pain. This dentist seemed frustrated and put out at what he was doing the entire time. I would NOT EVER Recommend him EVER! In fact, I would tell anyone that I knew to stay away from him. You are Only borrowing trouble and horrible ip from someone who does not care at all! Terrible!à

I was sent to dr widman because i had a special circumstance with a certain tooth. My dentist thought it good for me to see a specialist. well when I went to see him he didnt treat it like it was a special tooth and while working on it, he blew my face up like a balloon when getting frustrated. As a result I ended up with a subcutaneous emphysema . A condition when air gets between the skin. something that might happen after a gunshot wound. Except in this case my entire face was full of air and it was extremely painful and I looked deformed. He was rude to me about it as well. Refusing to give me anything for pain and believe me when your face is full of air that was forced into the tissue it was extremely painful. I would never recommend him!
