Andrew Manista is a joke. Has done spine surgery on a elderly family member numerous times. When severe complications arise he refuses to see patient and passes them on to another doctor. Doesn’t want to face the fact that he messed up. Manista is Arrogant, Fake and just working for the $$. Does NOT truly care about his patients. Not to mention the fact he uses sexual Innuendo’s throughout his visits. Wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. His PA Mary isn’t any better.

Dr. Manista performed 7 spinal surgeries between 2009 - 2018 on me for scoliosis. With each surgery things were much better until 8/2018. 2/2018 - Surgery to reconstruct Cervical and thoracic spine hardware and removal of all lumbar hardware. 8/2018 thorasic spine fractured at Thoracic/Lumbar junction leaving me completely bent over. 10/2018 Surgery to repair fracture and stabalize spine. 4/2019 Another fracture at L3. Opted out of surgery. 2/2021 No indication of L3 still being fractured. Had lost 2" height in 14 months. Loss of some use of my legs w/problems walking, Severe sciatica, numbness in toes on left foot, severe burning in R. thigh, neck pain, arm and hand pain. Treatment: Ordered injection in hip and PT. I opted not to do this because I know there is something seriously wrong and his recommendation to me was just a bandaid. I consulted with a Neurosurgeon and he referred me to the UW Harborview Trauma Spine Center. My appointment is soon. Right now my quality of life is far less than optimal and getting worse everyday.

Dr. Manista performed an Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion (ACDF) operation on me a year ago (June 2015) in OOA's new facility on the Westside. I stayed over night and all went well. He was so helpful he even went out and got me a cheeseburger and fries after my operation to ease the pain in my throat that I had following the operation.

A few days after my operation I ran into him at the grocery store and he took the time to briefly look at the scar on my neck to see how it was healing.

He and his PA have seen me on several follow-up exams and they have always found the time to answer all of my questions.

He's seeing me now for and L&I complaint and he took the time to explain my x-rays, what he saw in them, and his plan of attack. I trust the guy, his PA, and the staff at OOA.

I recommend him to anyone who needs ACDF surgery, you'll be in good hands with him and his PA.

Extremely knowledgable, professional, and talented doctor. Had a disk in my neck replaced with an artificial disk in 2012. No complications or unexpected consequences. Clean bill of health at 3 month checkup, no restrictions after 6 months. I gave a 3 to the staff, but that was because of the front office staff (who work for the entire office of doctors, they aren't just his). Not a fan of the gals who work the front desk - no personality, uncaring, inflexible, and curt at times (bordering on rude). Once you get brought back, the rest of the staff was great. I gave a 4 for punctuality because all doctors could improve in this area.

Dr. Manista and his staff are a wonderful group of professional people. Dr. Manista is very personable, understanding, highly competent, and a very skilled surgeon. He and his Physicians Assistant, Omar J. Gonzalez, were very straightforward with me from the very beginning. He (they) covered all bases as far as pre-op is concerned, i.e., physical therapy for one. Dr. Manista was extremely clear when explaining to my wife after surgery. My wife was extremely impressed. He is compassionate and thorough. I rate him 100% as a doctor. He is tops in my book.
