My husband and I have been Dr. Kim's patients for several years and have found both her medical and personal skills to be outstanding.

Dr. Kim is academically and professionally one of the best doctors I've seen. She's directed me to the care I've needed for some time.

Online rating mechanisms at best are unfortunate because responses are extremely sparse and un representative. I only write one to counter-balance an existing rating that I think is very biased an unfair. I've gone to Dr. Kim for about 5 years, and I have always found her to be very personable, highly informative, and apologetic if she is unable to see you immediately. Obviously, she has extraordinary credentials, and her research indicates she is a top-notch faculty member, in addition to being a good clinician. I couldn't disagree more with the other rating I saw on this site. One huge problem with these rating systems is that responders typically have very little information (or experience) on which to make an evaluation.

In my opinion, Dr. Kim was not personable. I found her to have a "cold" attitude. Her techs tell her things about your care without the patient's permission. It is the patient's choice to tell their doctor anything(good or bad) about a doctor's behavior or how you feel about their doctor's care or personality - not the doctor's techs. Her techs took it upon themselves to "gossip" about how I felt about Dr. Kim's demeanor and, in my opinion, that is Junior High behavior, if at that. However, Dr. Kim took the side of her techs instead of her patient. At the same hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas (UAMS)where Dr. Kim practices, I would recommend highly Dr. Romona Davis. She is the opposite of Dr. Nicola Kim. Dr. Davis is very kind and understanding and listens carefully to your concerns and gives you every option so that you may make a decisive decision.
