I have been a long time patient. My dental health has been greatly improved after years of periodontal disease by Dr Washington and his team. I've also received a bone graft and implant that have healed beautifully.

Do not have gum surgery there especially LANAP. I just read another review that I wish I had before I went there.

I've had two gum surgeries with this doctor, one in September 2016 and one in September 2017. Both went excellently - healed very well with no problems and minimal pain. I'm surprised to see the negative reviews, as I found the staff to be extremely friendly and very professional.

The front desk do not look up to acknowledge patients. The staff in the back are very sloppy, yelling back and forth to each other complaining about the equipment not working STILL. I overheard the hygienist discussing the doctor has been "fixing" the cleaning tools and still not working after 6 months along with old computers. Doctor cannot fix equipment or purchase a new laptop which is scary.

I've gone to Dr. Washington for over 10 years. Enduring extremely long waits just because I liked & trusted him that much. He did my first bone graft and it was fine. About 8 months ago, I needed a "touchup." Said it would be non-invasive with a laser. Not sure what happened but a big portion of my gum was cut from my mouth. Gum doesn't grow back and he cut it so bad, that they can't graft tissue to it b/c there's no blood supply for it to adhere to. I've been to 8 other specialists, none of whom can think of a way to fix it other than to wait for my previous implant to fail and take out the upper left hand side of my mouth, then they will shave my gum and fit me for false teeth. I went back to Dr. Washington and he would only say, "we never know how it's going to heal." This isn't a healing problem. I suspect the laser slipped. I'm sad. I really liked him and trusted him. It makes me sad that he tried to sound as if this was my fault. I can't go back there now. I'm looking at about $50000 to fix this. Meanwhile, until someone figures something out, I can't eat solid foods. I was not large before, but I've dropped over 40 pounds and I now have to shop in the kids section. I'm almost 50. It's terrible. Sadly, every other specialist has said that looking at my pre-surgery X-Ray, they see NO reason why it had to be done. I accept the responsibility of not getting a second opinion. Never again. I like Dr. Washington a lot, but I just can't go here anymore. If you do, please make sure to get a second opinion before you have anything done.
