I went to see Dr. Sullivan in1983 after being diagnosed with fibrositis (now called fibromyalgia ) by a rheumatologist in NYC. Living on Long Island i wanted to find a doctor closer to my home. I went to dr Sullivan who told me there was no such thing as fibrositis and that it was all in my head. 33 YEARS LATER HE IS ADVERTISING TO BE AN EXPERT IN FIBROMYALGIA. Would not true this doctor and will never forget my appointment with him. I have been in consent pain for 39 years that I guess is all in my head. He owes me a big apologies

My personal physician had recommended about 3 months ago that I go and see Dr. James Sullivan for my case of arthritis that took over both of my arms, hands, fingers, wrists, shoulders and neck... I have never in my 74 years on this earth experienced such pain and discomfort and Dr. Sullivan recommended getting onto a steroid medication which I did. He has me weaning down on my dosage from week to week, and it seems to be working for me. I am 'Happy' with Dr. Sullivan and his staff.

Dr Sullivan's staff is rude and dismissive. The woman who answers the phone does not listen and either does not relay messages to the doctor or the doctor does not care enough to respond. I never even received results of blood tests because doctor refused to return calls.

I have read all the reviews here & completely agree about the staff. On personal calls, loud, very unprofessional. Wait time for this doctor is 30 minutes to over an hour. This is the longest I've had to wait in years for any doctor!

At first thought he was good Dr. but came to regret that opinion. Put me on steroid meds for too long which caused other problems & when I landed in hospital never called or inquired about my condition.Literally washed his hands of my care.A very BIG disappointment!

I am an existing patient with insurance.I was suffering from a very bad gout attack on my ankle.I left three messages, first one in the AM and no response. All I needed was to have a subscription refilled and didn,t even get a call back. Anyone who experienced a gout attack knows how painful it can be. Totally unprofessional.

Staff is very unpleasant. Left multiple messages for test results and to speak with the doctor and never received a call back. Would not recommend this doctor.

Staff was unpleasant and not very nice. I would not recommend new patients to his office. Wanted the doctor to call me after visit; I had more questions for him and he would not call me back. Unfriendly and not compassionate to patients' needs. Would not recommend anyone to his office.
