Dr. Blau saved my life with diagnosis and treatment of my conditions when other experienced doctors could not. I have referred him to family members and friends who also trust in him.

I did not appreciate this doctor's attitude. He does not work well with younger patients and seriously needs to refine his bedside manner. He's old and out of date with the younger population. He is good in the fact that he will have many tests done - blood work, hormones, x-rays, but he is very narrow minded and I felt uncomfortable speaking with him. He's 77 and needs to retire. I'm finding a new doc.

I went to this guy once, and he really scared me. At first he seemed very smart and all, but the first thing he said to me was "You know what people who have fibromyalgia often do? They often commit suicide." WTF?! I want to hear this??? I came here to feel better, not to be warned that people with my ailment commit suicide. At that, I looked for the nearest exit. Will never return to him again. What a wonderful way to open up a new appointment with a new patient.

I saw Dr. Blau for my arthritis and he gave me the ususal x-rays then I was sent to his office where he was talking into a tape recorder while I was sitting there talking with him. He told my General Practioner that I was in desperated need of a colonoscopy. Then I told him that I got my arthritis back in the 1990's when I broke up my X boyfriend who I was going to marry then he asked me if I was using condoms. What does a coloscopy and comdoms have to do with arthritis. He prescribed huira which has no good side effects. He has to many personal questions he's asking. The office is falling apart and paint is peeling off the walls. He needs to get a new office. I am surprised the one that he'sin is still standing. Overall, didn't like his attitude.

I am a new patient of Dr. Blau's and I am thrilled that I finally found a Dr. who is caring and who listens. Yes, as the last person wrote, the office is messy..BUT..I have been to less cluttered offices and been treated horribly. I was with another Rhematology group from NSUH for 2 years prior and they never did half the tests that Dr. Blau did. He found things that they never found and that is because he is thorough!! I was very pleased that as a new patient, I was given a consultation in his office first where he took a brief history and actually asked me questions. Then Xrays and bloodwork were done and then I was brought into an exam room. Then I went back into his office for the results!! He spent about an hour with me, which nowadays is a shock to get that much attention from any Dr. He is kind, caring, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I will take his messy office anyday over the horrible service I had gotten from previous Dr's. Dr. Blau...you are very much appreciated here!!

Dr. Blau is wonderful but his Massapequa office is disgusting--a dirty, antiquated mess. He should really do something about it. Every person I know who''s been treated by him has commented to me what a fine doctor he is, but how gross his office is. It''s really a shame.
