Dr. V. is the most humble, sincere, brilliant, caring, and thoughtful professional I have ever met. To add to that, Dr Visconti saved my life. I went to several different endocrinologists in Staten Island and Manhattan who didn't take my symptoms of losing hair, extreme lethargy, and gaining weight for no reason seriously. I told Dr. Visconti (who is my Lyme's disease doctor) my symptoms and Instead of blowing me off and blaming it on the lymes like the other doctors did, he had me go for tests on my thyroid. Turns out I had cancer. Dr. Visconti is a highly respected world renowned pediatrician an infectious disease specialist. Endocrinology isn't even his field, but he listened and took my complaints seriously!! In any event, he's my hero and I am grateful everyday to have found him.

Dr. Visconti is like no other doctor you will ever meet. He is old school, remember when doctors could just look at you, touch you, talk to you and diagnose you properly? Today Doctors have PA's that interview you after you filled out a million forms. Dr. Visconti is the opposite of this, he even answers the darn phone himself, when he sees his staff is overwhelmed! He isn't just a pediatrician, but an expert on Infectious diseases. He is a local legend in SI, but many many folks come from very far away to see him for lyme disease, he was one of the very few doctors that take insurance, and actually are knowledgeable about proper diagnosis of lyme, esp all the co infections, but actually getting you better. He started to expand his practice to so many adults, because entire families, like mine were affected by lyme. He is so smart to test the parents and siblings of pediatric lyme patients, most times, the entire family is affected. He saved my life, and my child's life not only from lyme and co infections, but from what he discovered doing all his extensive tests. He is an expert on the immune system, what it can handle and can't, in terms of treatments, and toxins. He understands all the markers for cancers that come from auto immune and infectious states that majority of doctors are completely clueless about. His staff adores him, and works tirelessly for him. If you have complicated medical issues, with any kind of infections, or auto immune issues, especially mold sensitivities and drug allergies, and you have not gotten well, from other doctors, go see Dr. Visconti, he is basically the guy that figures out every other doctor's screw ups, and sets you on the right course to feel better. It may be a long road, but he will be with you the whole time.

Dr Visconti is wonderful. A Lyme patient often gets dismissed as crazy when labs do not come back positive for Lyme. Lab testing is greatly inaccurate and sometimes require clinical diagnosis. Dr. Visconti uses IgeneX labs in California which is most accurate (NO lab is completely accurate!) Dr. Visconti believes in chronic Lyme, Lyme carditis. After seeing specialists and being told nothing is wrong for myself and my child, Dr. Visconti LISTENS to you. Doesn't write you off as crazy! Tests from California came back positive for Lyme for the both of us.
His staff are super nice always. He's an old time doc.

He is a great doc, him and another doc got down to what was Makin my son sick. When no one else could, that's what you call great doctor's. And the staff are great love them all!!!!
