Dr. Jan misdiagnosed BOTH my mother and I in two completely separate instances. The actually reason for my sudden hairloss was vitamin A over dose (the 2nd doctor found this out in 3 min), a possibility I tried to discuss with Dr. Jan but she dismissed completely. She explored no other possible explanations for my problem, just left the room. As for my mother (an ER nurse and hospice nurse of 30 years! who never complains) says, "Never in my life have I wanted to file an official complaint against a fellow medical professional the way I do with Dr. Jan. She was quite rude, dismissive and her diagnosis' were completly inaccurate simply due to her inadequate listening and observational skills. She is not a good example of the type of wonderful dermatologists we have have around here and her unprofessional attitude was infuriating." For the record, I have never been unsatisfied with any other doctor and I certainly do not make it a habit to go online and complain about anything.

I had a good experience with Dr. Jan. She listened to my description of my situation, took my concerns seriously and explained things well to me. She seemed to be thorough and careful. I would recommend her.

obviously a very knowledgeable doctor. however, her bedside manner is atrocious. if you're looking for a doctor who will comfort you in any way - dr jan is not for you. after visiting her i felt MORE stressed because of her rude attitude.
