Windy the office manager is extremely incompetent!

I have been seeing Dr. Newman for about the past 10 plus years now for botox injections. He has always given me a fair deal and done exactly what I wanted as far as taking care of the wrinkles on my forehead, crow's feet, fine lines under my eyes and my squint lines. The treatment is often painless and he knows exactly where to stick the needles. I have been to other doctors to have this procedure done with far-less seamless results and have had issues with the actual procedure and pain level. Dr. Newman is the best!

I recently noticed dark areas under my eyes (loss of collagen and blood flow), as well as numerous wrinkles directly under both eyes, increased freckles and some light sun damage on my face. Dr. Newman recommended CO2 laser treatment for my entire face and I decided to do this treatment in May of this year.

Well, the procedure was somewhat painful and the downtime and pain after the treatment lasted for about two days. His staff reminded me of these results several times so I was very aware of what I was getting into. I was absolutely amazed about the change in my face and skin three days after the procedure! I basically had a new face with no scarring or burns. All of my freckles and sun damage were gone and there were no signs of wrinkles anywhere! Dr. Newman also called a couple of times to check on my progress during the healing. That was very thoughtful and most doctors do not take time to personally call the patient (have their staff do this instead).

All of my friends and family are amazed by the results. I am three months out of this procedure and my skin is still building new collagen and looks fantastic. It literally knocked ten years off of my face!

I highly recommend Dr. Newman. He is a very nice man and really knows his stuff! I never have to wait long to be seen and it is easy to get appointments at either his San Mateo or Palo Alto offices.

I had MixTo laser resurfacing done on my face in May 2010. I was not given an antibiotic beforehand. I developed a staff infection that was extremely serious, and was not given a timely diagnosis of my scalded skin syndrome which should have had me admitted to a hospital, or several health issues that arose in the weeks after. Dr. Newman is not a GP doc, and he lacks a "crisis management" plan for situations like mine. I regret having had this procedure done.

Wanting a "no-nonsense" reconstructive/facial plastics physician, Dr. James Newman was highly recommended to me. Horrible experience with this office. The dr's staff divulged my confidential info to another patient there ( I have a letter from the dr.'s office admitting his staff did this). I was told the dr. would perfrom the procedures quoted and someone who was not even a nurse repeatedly performed procedures saying each time the dr. was too busy to see me- even after I had disturbing side effects- this same assistant would not let me speak with the dr. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

Dr. Newman exhibited both exceptional understanding of facial structure and excellent skills in performing a face lift, neck lift, endo brow lift, upper eye bleph (and lipo!) on me. While his recommended procedures were quite different from two other plastic surgeons I consulted with, I found his diagnosis fixed many of my trouble spots. He listens carefully to the patient, their concerns and fears, and builds a solution around that to deliver a final result that fits patient expectations.
