Self Centered and Insensitive - These are the words that immediately came to mind when I thought about what to write here. I saw him three times. Each time he spent as much time or even time talking about himself than about me, his patient. Did you know that he could have been a big deal working in Manhattan if he wanted? This is what he told my spouse and me while we were trying to find out what was happening with my health. He gave me an injection without telling me what is was and asking if I was okay with it. He certainly knows his stuff, but each time I left his office I was in a state of disbelief and angry. I needed to continue with him only because I needed blood test results. I can't say much more without revealing my identity. However, if you want a doctor who isn't full of himself and insensitive say away.

He was more than helpful he was blunt and made the appropriate diagnosis based on an exam and his detailed questioning. He took one look at me and said you have Scleroderma without even looking at a the labs.

Diagnosed with SLE in under 10 minutes and put on steroids and meds. Went ahead and got 2 second opinions from my Primary who referred me to another Rhem specialist, amd was told out right- THIS DOCTOR WAS WRONG. and meds were discontinued at once. Too bad it took awhile to get the 2nd and 3rd opinion, I felt like trash for months before finally having the courage to seek another opinion. Every visit with Dr.Ricciardi was less than 5min and he didn't listen to a word. Just told me to refill the script and keep taking the meds for Lupus. GUESS WHAT GENIUS? I DON'T HAVE LUPUS. This guy is horrible. I SINCERELY MEAN THAT.

I feel that Dr. Ricciardi did not listen. He spoke like he knew my body better than I did, and told me on my seond visit that i did not Lupus even though I had both positive blood work and physical symptoms for. In addition, he told me on my first visit within the first few minutes of meeting me that I had Lupus, based on the markings on my skin. He treated me with am injection of steroids on the first visit and sent me for more blood work. When I came in the second time, he told me I had nothing Rheumotologically wrong with me and not to come back to see him again (very rudely). I have been diagnosed subsequently with SLE, scleroderma and hosimoto's disease by four other doctors which includes rheumotologists and endocrinologists. I would never recommend this doctor due to my experience with him. Because of his statements, I did not receive treatment until I was so sick I could not get out of bed.

Dr. Ricciardi is a man who speaks his own mind and can be very blunt at times.I have been going to his office for many.many years.I seem to suffer more than necessary because he feels that he has all of the answers. In the mean time I feel worst not better. Overall I like his candid personality, but he needs to listen more to his patients. Work on your bedside manner Dr. Ric...LOL.

Dr. Ricciardi is ok for prescriptions, but has very little bedside manner doesn't spend much time with you. I found him to be a little crude. He makes inapproprate comments to younger female patients but is better with older patients.
