I was blocked from transferring to Dr. Vitale, highlighting a disregard for patient rights at the Moran Eye Center. My apprehensions about a prescribed medication were dismissed by another physician there, even though alternative therapies were available. The initial doctor's team sent harsh emails with directives but no dialogue, while the doctor himself never communicated directly. My attempt to switch to Dr. Vitale was stymied by his staff, who said Vitale would just do the same treatment as the 1st doctor. They were also unaware of a savings program for a drug implanted in my eye, which I only learned about after leaving the center. Received invitation to self-schedule at the Moran. Used 2.5 months after receiving. Olive branch? No. Received angry calls from a manager and a subsequent letter of banishment. Despite never making threats, only expressing dissatisfaction with the disrespectful staff and subpar care, I was banned. Moran Eye Center puts patients at risk.
