I usually do not participate in reviews, however I had such a great outcome and experience with my Lasik surgery I wanted to express my gratitude. Dr.Daynes and his staff from day one were so kind and patient with me.I was really nervous about having Lasik surgery and with each question came knowledgeable and thorough answers. Dr.Daynes was very honest with his opinions and I appreciated that he treated me as an equal and not just a number. After my first visit, I knew who my Surgeon was going to be. I came in for my Pre-Op appt and at that time I was given a consent form to read through. That made me even more nervous. The consent form disclosed everything that could go wrong, I was beginning to think why should I even do it? However Dr.Daynes came in and explained that surgery can be a little scary, we can't control everything, complications can arise. My thought was you know what, he is right. Complications can occur, however the reward outweighed the risk for me. Dr.Daynes is FANTASTIC

Disclaimer: I am a retired health care professional. I moved to Utah in 1999 after a 20 year career in Emergency Medicine and worked in one of America's Great Top 100 Hospitals in another state. I know what good is. The standard of care provided to me by Dr. Daynes and his staff were very much above "good". My experience was "Stellar". There is an old saying in Medicine, "Treat everyone like you would treat your own mother, father, sister and brother". Dr. Daynes and staff are living examples of how to treat people in the way that I'm sure they want to be treated. The truth is, this is the way all of us want to be treated. I never felt rushed. After a standard yet complete examination by Dr. Daynes, Dr. Daynes also diagnosed my rare eye condition. There is a reason that medicine is called a "practice" it is an imperfect science, yet Dr. Daynes in nailed it (it, meaning the diagnosis) in my case. I would highly recommend Dr. Daynes and his staff for your eye care needs.Greg Owens

I went to Dr. Danes to have Lasix performed. During the surgery there was a problem with the laser or user (I'm still undecided on whose fault it was). My problem with Dr. Danes came after the fact. I was very uncomfortable with the lack of information Dr. Danes was willing to give me after the surgery. He would never answer my questions directly and even a month after the in-completed surgery, I was still unsure about what actually happened. I finally fired Dr. Danes and went to another eye doctor, who performed a complete evaluation of my eye and was able to explain to me what exactly happened. I was incredibly disappointed in his lack of communication. I also felt like he was trying to sweep what happened under the rug. My medical records that I obtained from him never mentioned that there was a problem. And every time I showed up for a follow up appointment, he would pull me into his exam room before I even checked in.

Dr. Daynes saw my family for contact lenses and glasses. He is wonderful with kids and has the latest technology to care for them. My kids watched cartoons while they had an exam. He was meticulous and cared for us as individuals.

We (family of 7) went in for regular eye dr. appts.. The entire appointment for each person lasted maybe one to five minutes (i'm used to a 45 minute, very thorough exam). My daghter ended up fainting from an extreme amount of the drops to dilate an eye (dilatig childrens eyes isn't even usually done - I had no idea he was doing this to each of us). Since seeing him, the prescriptions for glasses and contacts are all wrong, and we've had to go to another eye dr. to get the correct stuff. He's super nice, but seems like he can't sit still for more than a minute, and is not interested in simply correcting peoples vision with glasses or contacts. He wouldn't prescribe glasses for my daughter who gets severe headaches when reading due to farsightedness and astigmatism, and just told her to take something to ease the pain! I do not recommend him for regular appointments, go see an optometrist!!
