I have been trying for a week to get a medication issue taken care of for my husband with autoimmune encephalitis. No one will return my call of answer as to what to do about the medication adverse effects.

This review is long due. I have been seeing Dr. Michelle Spuza-Milord for more than ten years. She is the most outstanding doctor I ever had. I referred her to my family and friends; everybody feels the same. She figured out and guided me through a few challenging situations. The latest one probably saved my life or spared me from a formidable medical issue.
Reading her reviews, I see the most common issue her patients had was waiting time. The only reason is that she takes the time to listen to you. She cares and truly wants to help. It is so rare in the medical field nowadays when the medicine is business to find a doctor like her. I promise she is worth the wait. She will treat you with respect and compassion at all times. Ultimately, one great thing about her is that she is up to date with the latest medical treatments. She is the rare combination of old-school approach and new medical therapies coming out at the moment. She is the most knowledgeable doctor I encountered, not just in her field.

My experience was one of very concerning disrespect and lack of care and competence by this physician. Like others have noted, I was kept waiting 70 minutes past my appointment time - "nothing I can do about it". I was referred to her for one simple reason; osteoarthritis in one knee after two meniscus surgeries. I am healthy and active. The referral was to find out if it was an isolated issue. Without a real physical exam or lab results, she proceeded to diagnose me with numerous issues! In WRITING, her diagnoses were amped up to what she told me in the exam room, including that I had multiple areas of arthritis! I subsequently contacted her office to ask HOW she came up with what she did without labs or an exam and WHY the issues were now worse on paper. She would not talk to me (until my next appt) but rather relayed some vague answers through a medical assistant to only some questions. This experience was seriously disturbing and I will not return. Do no harm?? $$$

I have been a patient of hers for over 12 years now and I can tell you, that with her you are in good hands. She takes the time to listen to you. She CARES. She truly wants to help you. This is so rare in the medical field these days. I doubt I would still be alive today if not for her. If you are a first-time patient and you have to wait a little longer than your scheduled appointment time, I promise you she is worth the wait. If you waited for her that means she was busy with a patient in serious need of her time. She will give you the same. She will treat you with respect and compassion at all times. She knows old school ways as well as all the new stuff coming out. She is very knowledgeable in her field. She will provide you with several different options of treatment and together you will find the right one for you. I was a little hesitant to write my review because I don't want to share her (ha-ha) but I don't want anyone to suffer the way I did before I found her.

Used to be a good doctor , but I've waited 3 hours past my appt. time . Started practicing medicine by proxy , nurse practicioner with dictation skills and NO follow up from either of them . Huge disappointment .

My appointment time was set for 10 AM. I arrived at 9-45 AM. The receptionist told me and other patients who arrived after me not to bother filling in the arrival time or appointment time. She would take care of it. At 11:40 I asked how much longer I had to wait. Three minuted later I was taken back had my blood pressure taken and answered a few questions. She showed me to an exam room where I waited for another twenty minutes. I chose to leave as I found the wait time very unacceptable.. I will find another Dr.

I love Dr. Spuz-Milord. I had gone through 3 others before I found her. I don't mind waiting for her because she takes her time with you. This would explain the wait time. She is so worth the wait. It's hard to find good doctors these days, but she is one.

Dr. Milord does indeed have long wait times. However, I found her staff caring & personally interested in my being seen & my concerns addressed. I found her to be a very knowledgeable rheumatologist & to be very thorough with examinations, tests, diagnoses and treatment. Mine was a chronic condition many doctors blew off and was eventually complicated by another muscular disease. Dr. Milord and her partner worked very hard to find what was making me so much worse. Finally, having done all they could, she correctly referred me to a neurologist and her suspicion turned out to be correct. Several years ago when the federal government began, in my opinion, harassing doctors about opiate pain killers, she did back off of them like all other doctors, but she continued to try hard to relieve my pain and find that neurological diagnosis.

The review below from March 11, 2011 is interesting because I have been to this office three times in 2015 and had the same experience with the wait times, not being seen in an exam room, the doctor being rather dismissive and not offering much information. My last visit was the last straw. I was waiting for over two hours and said something to the front desk. They offered to have me see the NP in place of the doctor if I didn't want to wait any more. I also asked about exercise and diet recommendations twice and was told they don't really recommend anything in particular. Just don't do high impact exercises. You're also not allowed to see a doctor for your first visit. You need to have an appointment with the nurse practitioner first. Looking for another office. Won't sit around their office for 2 1/2 - 3 hours for another visit. You would think after four years they would have their scheduling under control.

Never diagnosed me properly which led to a year with no treatment. Extremely long wait times and rude staff. Although she might be a pleasant Dr. To speak with she a horrible diagnostician.
