Dr. Corbett is insensitive and has no empathy. She is also unprofessional and has no filter. For instance, she says the first thing that comes to her mind without even considering how it affects me as a client. As a result, she caused me more harm than good . Moreover, she shares too much information about herself and her family, without being asked. So she uses our sessions to gripe about her family, etc. It is all about her while the client's needs are put aside.
She is constantly late and does not even apologize even though I have been waiting for her for almost half an hour! She is LOUD. dominates the conversation, and always gets the last word. To illustrate, I could barely get a word in.
Dr. Corbett is arrogant, close-minded, and callous. She insists on being right all the time. I feel belittled and devalued every time she lectures me on various topics. I thought that psychologists are supposed to validate your feelings and they do not give advice? How can a psychologist behave like this?
She is the worst psychologist that I have ever met. I will not be surprised if her license gets revoked one of these days because she DOES NOT RESPECT PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY. For example, she readily shares her former clients' issues/problems, especially those who left her a bad review.
Finally, if you are a pet lover, DON'T even bother sharing that with her because she will chastise you! Obviously, she can't even control her own bias towards animal lovers, much less express that to the client blatantly. Any decent psychologist will never do this. Her behavior shows that she can't control her emotions. I feel stressed out during the sessions because I do not know if she will suddenly blow up and yell at me. Needless to say, it was actually therapeutic for me to stop seeing her which I did.
As a client, I was patient and gave her several chances to improve. However, the sessions got worse and worse.... I do not normally write reviews but my experience with her is exceptionally horrifying. I wish that I read the reviews first. That way, I won't even consider seeing her.

Dr. Corbett has helped me through several difficult issues over the last couple of years. If it wasn't for her I would not be here right now. I believe one of her best qualities is her ability to get right at the heart of a problem and be able to help repair what may or may not be broken, and know the difference!
