I was referred to this doctor for Pain Management by the Neurosurgeon at MHSI because he stated surgery would only make things worst for me so he thought it would be a better idea to continue pain management but with a doctor in his office. I have never left a doctors visit feeling so disrespected and in tears. He is very rude! I was hurt in a rear end car accident 10 months ago. He told me that I couldn’t possibly have been hurt because him and his wife both had been in rear end accidents and were perfectly fine. Despite the 2 MRI’s, Xray and EMG results, he told me that what he’s seeing couldn’t possibly be causing me pain and that all the doctors were telling me wrong. He said he doesn’t even understand why I was seen in the emergency room on the day of the accident. He proceeded to tell me that my pain was all made up in my mind and that it was something mental going on and not really there. I eventually had enough and told him that I was ending the visit and headed to check out. Some of the office staff noticed how upset I was and asked what happened. When he saw them talking to me he started yelling and pointing telling me to get out of the office and that he’s calling the police to have me removed. I never raised my voice at him or anything. The ladies felt really bad and told me to schedule an appointment with the Neurosurgeon to let him know what happened and how I was treated and to see if there is another pain specialist that he can refer me to.

Let me simply get straight to the point: Dr. Freydl is a worthless doctor. Though he works for MHSI, he is not one of the Neurosurgeons, though I'm sure he will tell you that he is better than them at everything. He is extremely pompous, and, frankly, incompetent at his job. Moreover, I feel bad for MHSI, as he sat in the room with me and bad-mouthed the company for nearly five minutes. He belittled his staff and talked poorly about the management of the company, which is, arguably, the top neurosurgeon practice in Michigan. Simply put, avoid this doctor at all costs.

Arrogant person who speaks down to the patient. He let me ask questions and then promptly responded as if my inquiries were a waste of his breath and moronic. I also questioned a couple of the procedures he was contemplating, to which he, more or less, told me I had no idea what I was talking about. Interesting, considering I am a veteran RN of 26 years. MHSI is a great company, but I would never go this pompous individual again.

I have been to many doctors and specialists who look at me and my age and assume I'm lying about the severity of my pain, even though I've had multiple spinal surgeries at a young age. Dr. Freydl was a lifesaver when I found him. He spends as much time with me as I need, explains everything in detail, has never made me feel rushed, and actually listens to me and troubleshoot problems with me. He regularly prescribes the medication I need without making me feel like a drug seeker, like past doctors have. I don't know what I would do without him. He is honestly the best, most caring and trustworthy doctor I have ever seen.

I have only had professional service and a wealth of knowledge. The negative remarks all sound like they are coming from the same patient. If Dr. Freydl was rude and direct about drug abuse it is for one reason. The patient is abusing drugs. I have never known him to prescribe anything other than what was needed. I have been his patient for over six years. I have personally known patients who depend on drugs to go from office to office. Dr. Freydl is completely competent and professional.

I was a patient for almost a year, before he showed his true colors. I would always laugh off his arrogance, his rude comments. Today was the last straw. I left his office feeling like I was in a whirlwind, twilight zone, tornado. Next think I know he's accusing me of being an addict. I'm heartbroken. I had put all my faith in this Dr. I feel so sorry for the girls who work there.

I have a genetic disease and Dr Freydl has basically been saving my life. For the first time in my life I have a doctor that is on my side and will do anything he can to help. He has never spent anything less than an hour with me at each appointment. He is the furthest person I know from being arrogant and mean. I don't know what I would do without him and would HIGHLY RECOMEND him to anyone and everyone.

Very rude amd demeaning. Any time I question something (new medicine to be specific), he reprimands me and says I'm wasting his time. He says I am always negative and that he won't help me if I'm going to question him. Hello? Isn't normal to ask questions and be a little nervous about adding even more drugs to your current regiment? He also makes me feel like a druggie when I asked for pain meds (mind you in almost a full year of having my condition I had never asked for pain meds) so not sure how that makes me one. Compassionate is not a word I'd use for him. A positive thing I'd say, though, is that he does spend a lot of time with you. Overall I'd say major work on his personality is needed and a reality check that not everyone who needs to use pain meds once in awhile is a drug addict!

Dr. Freydl did a very thorough initial exam. I never had a doctor take so much time to understand my specific physical challenges. Also, the office staff and nurses are very competent and friendly. I knew I was in great hands. I ended up getting a series of spinal injections. I opted for the light sedation so there was no pain whatsoever. His treatment ended up improving my quality of life significantly!
