It is very easy to see why Dr.Dryer has been named the best orthopedic surgeon in Central Texas, is a wonderful, caring, doctor with a great staff. My wives experience was excellent. The complex operation is a complete success all her previous pains including headaches are gone her. The recovery time was incredably fast. Attached:: Austin Spine Surgeon (Randall Dryer)Named Among the Top in the Country and Much Deserved in our opinion! Spine industry newsletter, Becker’s Orthopedic & Spine Review, released today their annual list of the top 100 spine surgeons in the country. This is the 2nd surgery that i have had from Dr. Dryer. The 1st time was 15 yrs ago this month when i had my 1st fusion, in November 2011 i had my 2nd fusion and each time it has completely removed my pain. Dr Dryer and his staff have been very caring and helpful each time i have had to use his services even though the surgeries were 15 yrs apart they still had the information from my 1st surgery. I highly reccommend Dr. Dryer and his staff and if i or my family need this kind of expertise i will definitely be using Dr. Dryer oh! I almost forgot my daughter-in- law is seeing Dr. Dryer in less than a week for back problrms.

Dr Dryer did a spinal fusion (l5-6) on Nov. 29th. I have had back pain for 20 years ( the last few months were very bad, numbness in left leg and severe lower back pain). Dr Dryer was my second opinion dr. and my surgeon of choice. Since the surgery, I haven't had pain in my lower back and no numbness in my left leg. Icahn now walk (which I haven't been able to do without pain for over 1 year). He is a very skilled surgeon and his staff is very attentive and friendly. Dr Dryer even took time to take pictures of my X-rays with my iPhone ! How cool is that! I will need more surgery (neck) and dr.Dryer will be my surgeon again! I highly recommend him.

The costs that were associated with this doctor, hospital, and services were not verbally given to us prior to the services. We thought we only had a 45 copay, but turned that this is a HOSPITAL BASED DOCTOR. We paid out $835 for an epidural injection, mri, and 2 office visits. I stayed in a hospital for a week and was only charged $1000 copay. What a rip off. They DID NOT TELL US THAT WE WOULD BE COMING OUT OF POCKET THIS MUCH. We have an HMO, and we have only had to pay a copay. These guys will get you wherever they can. All because they are hospital based physicians. And they sure as heck didn't bother telling us what our costs would be until after the fact. Bad business. And my husband is still not better. I do not recommend this doctor solely on poor business practices. There are doctors out there who only charge for the office visit. My daughter had an mri, yet we only paid the 45 copay as with most specialists. This is the 1st time we have been hosed by one.

Dr. Dryer's bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. This is well known among his staff and patients. He also dictates information into a machine that is not correct (i.e. he will say that he told me certain information, when in fact, he did not). I have spoken with another of Dr. Dryer's patients and he said Dr. Dryer did the same thing with him. Dr. Dryer performed a fusion of the L5/S1 on my back which did not work. I have just as much pain now as I did before the surgery. Also, he wanted to do surgery on my neck, due to degeneration of C4-C6. I know of two patients that Dr. Dryer performed neck surgery on with very negative results (one sued him). Thus, I decided to have a Neurosurgeon do my neck surgery. When Dr. Dryer mentioned it was time to do my neck surgery, I told him I was seeing a Neurosurgeon. He said "you are seeing too many Doctors and you no longer need to see me". This is patient abandonment, which is against the oath he took when he became a Dr.

The staff was helpful and they answered my questions. They made me feel comfortable. The nurse was very knowledgable and removed the staples from my back without causing pain. After my surgery I am able to walk unassisted. Before my surgery by Dr. Dryer I had been using a walker for 10 years. Dr. Dryer is the greatest!

For years I suffered horrific pain, I had no quality of life. All my doctors kept telling me to do pain management due to debilitating migraines. I met Dr. Dryer, he said I was a perfect candidate for neck surgery. The result; a week later, NO more chronic pain and I got my life back. It was close to instant relief. No more pain meds and I was on Duragesic patches (75 to 100) plus other pain meds for break through pain. It has been two years since my amazing surgery and I am so thankful that I found Dr. Dryer!!!! He not only a very talented doctor but one with a wonderful bedside manner. He cares about you and your results. The staff at Central Texas Spine Institute runs like a fine machine! They too are warm, friendly, and compassionate. In a fast paced world the “human touch” is so often lacking but not at Central Texas Spine Institute.

If you are thinking the pain will go away with some physical therapy or some rest, you are wrong. If you think it will go away on its own, you are wrong. It will only get worse. This is where Dr. Randall Dryer comes in. Go to your general practitioner, your family doctor or what have you. Get the MRI and head straight to Dr. Dryer. Ask him to fix you. Dr. Dryer will take about 15 minutes to look at the MRI. The radiologist report will also be there. Chances are you have a bulging/herniated disc or some similar lumbar problem. He will fix it. It is not magic, he will diagnose and identify the problem, evaluate the treatment options and give it to you straight up. Dr. Dryer is direct and to the point, he will give you the information you need, and make a recommendation. Dr. Dryer is top-notch surgeon, he has over 30 years of experience and is one of the top 100 surgeons in the country.

Dr Randall Dryer is an awesome surgeon. He did such a good job on my lower back disc replacement surgery that I was out shopping for a new BBQ pit 3 days later. It's been 12 days now and my life is completely back to normal and my back pain is gone. I had no idea the surgery would go this smoothly or I would have done it years ago. So if anyone is considering surgery, Dr Randall Dryer should be your next stop.
