I have been seeing Dr. Dryer for a little over 2 years. The office staff are amazing! PA Vanessa is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Dr. Dryer is very knowledgeable, quick and to the point. He doesn't like to waste time, which I really appreciate! The man is very busy, so I appreciate the time. 16 years of active duty military had wrecked my back, and unlike my local hospital doctors, he was able to find the problem and go over the options within 5 minutes of looking over the x-rays. Dr. Dryer was able to complete the stage 2 fusion, interior (and posterior later due to insurance), and SI fusions with no issues. I am on the road to recovery and feeling very hopeful!

I highly recommend his services and expertise. Some folks may see his bed side manner as rude or dismissive, but the guy has 40 years experience. He has seen it all, heard it all and treated it all. He is friendly and give you time to ask questions, but be respective of his time as well.

Thank you Dr. Dryer and crew for helping me get back on my feet.

Dr. Dryer did my surgery 6 yrs ago. fused L3-4-5 , titanium cages, pins and screws. He did an amazing job. I couldn't hardly walk untill I had the surgery. I found him professional and he answered all my questions and concerned. He made sure I knew this was going to be a tough recovery as I wasl alreay 60 and not very active. I am starting to have some minor isues and although I moved out of state I will return to him to at least get his opinion or perhaps a recomendation for the more local surgeion.

It's clear that Dr. Dryer knows his stuff, but I'd tend to agree with reviews that characterize him as rushed and sometimes inconsiderate. 3 weeks after my surgery, the acute pain that I had in my lower back has almost completely subsided, and though my 2nd follow-up visit hasn't yet happened, I'm hoping I'll receive a bit more formal instruction on how to fully recover from the operation, as all I've been handed so far is a few post-op pamphlets with info that I can find online. I'm overall satisfied with my procedure and would recommend him on the basis of his skill alone, but don't expect a great bedside manner. Something else that was kinda funny and didn't bother me as much as it might bother other people is that he seemed to really struggle and become super (almost unprofessionally) frustrated with this malfunctioning laptop he was taking notes on and had to call his office tech assistant to help twice in the middle of my pre-op appointment. I didn't think about it at the time but I guess it should've made me question how frustrated with a complication in my surgery he might've gotten.

All in all, I would recommend, but with caution.

I was shocked to read the bad reviews! Dr. Dryer is a fantastic surgeon! He diagnosed my husband’s spine issue, performed surgery, and he was up and walking pain free a few hours later. Dr. Dryer was surgeon to one of the military’s top flight teams: he’s punctual but gives you time to answer questions. He doesn’t sit there and hold your hand so if you want someone to have gushy bedside manners, choose someone else. I’d rather have a no-nonsense expert like Dr. Dryer work on my or my family members than any other surgeon. His staff is very efficient and helpful.

Dr Dryer is in it for the money, he pushes surgeries versus physical therapy - when he is in the office, he sees 40+ patients per day. He rushed every visit and made flirtatious comments. The original surgery with him is being redone by another surgeon. I'd highly recommend that if you saw him that you get a 2nd opinion.

As one who was very reluctant to have any kind of surgery on my spine for fear of the unknown outcome, I was in too much pain to not explore my options . After having an mri on my lower back I was referred to dr. Dryer @ctsi by my GP. After a very thorough examination by dr dryer we explored various alternatives, PT etc... over a 4 to 6 month period. Dr dryer was always very patient and not one to suggest surgery until we exhausted all options. When all else failed and the pain in my lower back (L2-L3) continued to grow worse by the day, dr dryer meticulously explained to me the X-LIF procedure to fuse the two together. With much apprehension and long nights thinking about it I decided to put my trust in dr dryer that what we were going to do was the correct decision. Now being 1 year post op I couldn't be more thrilled, or should I say overly thrilled with the results. I am back 100% to my daily workout routine, which involves quite a bit of heavy weight lifting, running, rowing etc... Being 42 years old knowing that I have many active years ahead of me, this was the one of the best decisions I've ever made and would not have been possible without the guidance/care of dr dryer and his wonderfully caring staff... Can't say enough good things about the overall experience and decision to have the surgery. Thank you very much Dr dryer and all at CTSI!!!

I recently had surgery on my L4-L5 region on my back. My disc hernia was so large that I was unable to walk or stand and was wheelchair bound. Dr. Dryer took one look at my MRI I had done at the Emergency room and said he needed to operate as the spinal cord was so compressed that I was losing bowel and bladder function. He and his entire staff were so kind and compassionate, they each took the time to explain what was happening to me, why this surgery had to take place right away and just took the time to treat me like a person not just a patient or worse a number! Dr. Dryer took the time to meet with my family and kept them up to speed on my recovery. I have had many surgeries, and many doctors none of whom are more warm, caring and knowledgeable than Dr. Dryer. I highly recommend him to anyone needing back or neck surgery.
