Dr. Tyson was dismissive and rude to me and my daughter during our visit. She did not put us as at ease and even commented "now why you here anyway?" - as if we were wasting her time. She made little eye contact with me, and her comments were abrupt and abbrassive. Follow up on my daughter's blood test was difficult to get. We never heard from her office until several phone calls and a letter were sent. I was very disappointed in our visit and lack of attention to my child's condition. It ended up being a wast of OUR time. I hope this was just an off day for Dr. Tyson and that others get better care.

My child is adopted from China and was a first time patient of Dr. McSweeney-Tyson's. My child is significantly below the curve for Asian children, and our pediatrician recommended we see a specialist. Dr. M-T was insensitive, rude, and treated us like idiots. Even after I told her several times that we had no information about my child's birth family, birth, or medical history, she continued to ask questions about these topics, rolling her eyes and sighing every time I told her that we simply didn't know. She was curt and abrasive in her interactions and seemed annoyed when we tried to ask questions. She sent us off for additional tests, promising to call us with results. One month later and we have yet to hear back. Office staff is impossible to deal with and they literally NEVER answer the phone (100 calls in a single day (on more than one occasion) and we never get through to a live person or get a return call). Really, the worst ever. See Dr. Francis at MCV instead!
