There is no need to travel to New York City for spinal surgery. Dr. Kenneth Hansraj, MD is a world class surgeon right here in the Mid Hudson Valley. We unreservedly give him our highest recommendation.
My husband has had chronic low back pain for the past 40 years due to a football injury in his youth. Over the years he learned to maintain strength in his legs and keep the pain at bay by exercising daily and maintaining a healthy weight and diet. However, age and arthritis have a way of putting stress on your spine and deteriorating the space between your vertebrae causing spinal stenosis. Six months ago the pain in his lower back was increasing in severity. He tried the conservative approach: physical therapy, medication, and epidural steroid injections administered by a pain management Doctor. Nothing helped and the pain became progressively worse to the point where he was unable to sit, walk, or stand for no longer than 3 minutes. The pain was extremely sharp and associated with pain in his right hip and down his right leg. Our life was completely disrupted and altered by this chronic and severe pain. His severity lasted two months until he went to Dr. Hansraj and Dr. hansraj performed spinal lumbar fusion surgery on November 28, 2018. Dr. hansraj worked very hard both intellectually and mechanically by removing deformed bone and bone spurs and creating a large space for the nerve to pass through. The result: NO MORE PAIN! We are six weeks post surgery now and my husband's recovery is amazing.

I want to thank dr. Kenneth hansraj for helping me with my lumbar L3, L4 & L5 surgery back in July/17. He told me I would be pain free after surgery and I was. Recovery was great &I I did not need physical therapy. DR. Hansraj is very friendly and caring and also an excellent listener. HE has a very professional staff. I thank you again Dr. Hansraj.

I had a herniated disc that pushed against several nerves creating extreme pain in three different areas of my right leg, I met with Dr. Kenneth Hansraj who explained how he could, through surgery, remove the pain. Then he suggested that I first try other methods - physical therapy and then, if necessary, cortisone injections from a pain management doctor. I agreed. The reduction in pain was moderate and temporary. Again, the pain became severe and unrelenting. I requested surgery. Within ten days, I had the surgery. My recovery was surprisingly quick. Dr. Hansraj had me out walking within days of the surgery. I am totally free of pain. Besides being friendly and caring, Dr. Hansraj is an excellent listener. And he is the only doctor I have ever gone to who provided me with a detailed written report of each and every office visit. His office staff is very friendly and competent, and his surgical team is outstanding. I give Dr. Hansraj my highest recommendation.

I travelled from Toronto, Canada for a consultation with Dr. Hansraj and that was the first step to new life for me after over a decade of severe and debilitating pain. Upon meeting Dr. Hansraj, I immediately felt a sense of comfort and confidence in him so I booked the spinal surgery that I had been putting off for far too long.

His staff could not have been more helpful in arranging excellent accommodation for us and I felt certain that I was in good hands. The surgery was successful and his immediate and long term follow up were extraordinary.

Dr. Hansraj is clearly a man who cares about his patients! I would recommend him to anyone who may have been putting off surgery because of nervousness or fear. My life has changed now that I am pain free and I am grateful to him for his medical skills and compassion.

Dr. Hansraj, was incredible! They truly have a passion for what they do and it shows. My husband had his VR 10 days ago and his healing process has been much more comfortable than he expected. The entire experience was such a blessing to both of us. This office takes a personal interest in your story and you become part of their family! I look forward to sending them pictures of our good news (when that day comes). This was a decision that took my husband and I a LONG time to make, and they were very sensitive to that. The whole process was thorough, and never did my husband feel uncomfortable during the procedure. We knew as soon as we walked in, that we had chosen the right place! Nowhere else in the country can you have a vasectomy reversal done and pay the minimal amount you do here, and know that the expertise is top notch! This truly is their ministry!
