I feel crazy!! These reviews don't' begin to sound like my experience ! Dr. Ozer was pleasant in every way. I left Dr. Hogikian as he said I had "too many questions " . He actually sent me to Dr. Ozer! My dupetrine's was surgically corrected and I am still pleased years out. Karen Jallos

Promptness was terrible, his knowledge of my injury was even worse. After him being forty minutes late for my appt. It's not his first rodeo, or his staffs, doc spends a whopping 90 sec to look at my elbow. The folks in rehab had questions for me to answer that I couldn't because the so called Doc didn't have any answers ether. The injury was eight months ago and I'm still having problems with it. If there's a next time, I'll go to Michigan State where at least a veterinarian knows the difference between an elbow and a hand. Good luck with this quack.

Made an 8am first appt of the day for a reason. Finally saw resident shortly before 9 and saw doc at 9:45. I could have slept in. He seems to have no manners. After that long wait he was in with me for about two minutes. Didn't have much explanation for pain. Squeezed hand really hard and wanted to knowing it hurt. Yeah that hurt. If no answers at next appt going elsewhere. Not sure if he's knowledgable. He wasn't in room long enough for me to find out. In a cast for last month. Hand still hurts and cast really inconvenient. It swells during day too.

He seems arrogant and stand-offish but I did not mind because of how knowledgeable he is. I am having a surgery done in the near future that has only been done twice at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota but this Physician has done it. He knows the ins and outs, answered every question I had and then some. So what if your surgeon isn't a people person. I would much rather my surgeon be smart and talented at his job than have a great bedside manner. That's what his staff is for.

Dr Ozer seems to want to minimize time of any patient interaction. After I had a cast (to immobilize a torn ligament) taken off, he met with me for about a minute and a half - didn't ask me how it felt, or examine it in any way, just told me, ok, you're better, call me in two months to check in. I asked if there was anything I should do, and he gave me a page of xerox exercises which were only partially relevant to my injury. Didn't really seem to care whether I was feeling better or not, just wanted to move on. I will seek another doctor if I need more attention on this.

Wish I had seen the previous review before I, too, wasted my time with this physician. Arrogant and dismissive, it seemed as though he was intent on humiliating me throughout the appointment. Made no effort to be properly prepared for my appointment -- files that had been faxed seven weeks earlier somehow "couldn't be found in the system," inferring they had never been sent. I have a copy of the fax confirmation. Tossed out a diagnosis which was easily disproved. He may have great knowledge, and perhaps wonderful surgical talents, but is apparently one of those surgeons whose manner works best with those under anesthetic.

Dr Ozer restored full function to my elbow after a distal humerus fracture that broke the bone into at least ten pieces. He used two plates and about 15 screws to repair the joint, recovery after the surgery was uneventful, and it took six months but my arm is back to normal.

Im not sure how to take this doctor. He was very standoffish. He sat across the table with his arms folded leaning back like he wanted nothing to do with me. He didn't come across as friendly or overly knowledgeable. Although i'm sure he could fix a simple broken arm since most doctors can. He didn't examine me or even lean close to look at my arm. His assistant did examine me before he came in but any time the assistant tried to talk he was cut off by the doctor. I didn't request this appointment with Dr. Ozer. I was referred to him by the emergency room because they could see the swelling and issues with my arm which was causing me discomfort and pain at the time. Dr Ozer couldn't explain this or offer anything except stating I must keep the plates in there. According to the ER doc the screws are sticking up and the muscles and tendons are rubbing getting aggravated. I will end up seeking treatment elsewhere which is why i'm reviewing him. UofM once again waisted my time and money.
