Good luck actually seeing Dr. Alberda. You will most likely see a resident instead. After his resident diagnosed my lung cancer as allergies, they refused to give me a referral to get my cancer checkups with the surgeon who removed my tumor. This place is a racket for people who can't afford better.

Biography

I graduated University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2000 and completed my Family Medicine Residency training in Billings, Montana in 2003. At that time, I moved with my young family to Austin for another year of Obstetrics and Women’s Health training. After my training, I started as a Faculty Member of the Family Medicine Residency training program in Austin. My practice focused on Family Medicine, obstetrics with newborn care, pediatrics, and teaching these skills to future family physicians. In 2019, I joined Drs. Margolin and Keinarth and while I no longer offer obstetric services, I continue to provide adult and pediatric primary care. I have experience in women’s health, including contraception services and procedures, such as Nexplanon and IUDs; adolescent health; chronic disease management; and being available for common ailments or illness. My philosophy in medicine, as in life, is very down-to-earth. I hope to provide care that is efficient, based on strong evidence, and value oriented. I enjoy the opportunity to listen to patient’s priorities and tailor treatment plans to reach goals of care. This can include helping achieve lifestyle goals with activity and food to improve health and wellbeing.
