Dr. Mass cares. She might seem a little cold but can get to the major issue fast. She has geat wisdom & confidence. I have returned to her on occasion for 3-4 years.

This is a passive aggressive Spanish woman sitting there for her ego boost. Its a nice office ,a place for her to work whenever she wants.
I gave her some past email copies to read and next time I came it was lying near the copy machine for her staff to see .Ethics violation. She said thee was nothing in those emails and I don't have to worry
She has zero empathy,or understanding ,this is the type you would see working in a insurance company .She has a rude demeanour and the demeanour is not meant to help someone shake it off ,it is her personality which shows through.
Test her out .More like a coffee table table for the rich.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Maas. She took her time and was thorough in asking me questions and hearing all of my concerns today. I soon felt very comfortable with her and I plan to continue to work with her going forward. I am so glad I finally found a psychologist in San Antonio.

Dr. Maas is able to take in my descriptions and to sort out the primary issues I mean to address during our session time. While it is true I typically get into her office late, she always gives me my entire hour ( which does set the next appointment delayed) and it is worth every minute. She has a positive and thoughtful approach to problem solving, she does not sugar-coat it for me, as is appropriate for me. I have returned to her on occasion for almost 4 years. She caters her approach to fit my current state as we get deeper into the troubles at that time; she gives me homework and resources as I feel the in-between Time is critical to making progress. That being said, during our sessions she directs me away from self-doubt and gives me tools for improving my communication skills; I take these with me when I leave her office and feel more capable of taking charge of my life. I would highly recommend her services.

Very interesting to see the comments posted here. I enjoyed my sessions with Dr. Maas, although challenging. That is part of her job, to challenge you to think about things differently. I have seen therapists who are misogynists, push overs, and the leave-it-up-to-God types. If you want results, you have to do the hard work and listen to what may be uncomfortable for you at first. She's the best therapist I have ever gone to as an adult and have recommended several people to her.

I have only seen Dr. Maas a handful of times, and I'm not sure I'll continue, but some of these comments don't show much insight. She is from CT and has a very direct personality. If she is too direct for your comfort, all you have to do is tell her and she will change her approach with you. She is aware that for some, she is too direct. She seems to care about her profession and her clients. She isn't an old lady at all; she has experience which is what you want in a mental health provider. She told me that if she was not a good fit for me that I deserved to find someone who was. Don't come online to bash someone if you haven't spoken directly to them first.

Dr. Maas belittled my concerns about my husbands p0rńàgraphy addiction by saying, "at least he isn't an alcoholic."

Something is not right about her approach to patients. With me I could get her tone of ignorance, lack of interest in matters that are complex and a condescending and judjemental attitude..She is an old lady.If you have normal.issues she may be able to help with her life experience. But if is complex ,a bad idea.
