On a scale of 1 to 10 Dr. James surpasses 10. I can share with all honesty to Dr. James professionalism, and compassion for his patients. I was informed by a friend who was a former patient of Dr. James to consider his practice for treatment. As a injured worker I had experience total abandonment. I found myself believing there isn't a physician who really cared or I could trust to restore my health. Dr. James was the answer to my prayers. I am getting the treatment I longed for. My will to work as hard as the doctor to restore my health is the most rewarding feeling ever. Injuries are not always just physical, they take a psychological toll on ones mind, body and soul. After enduring six years of back pain, muscle spasms, burning, aching, numbness in my left hip, and pins & needles sensation running down my left leg.... I've finally found a doctor who is addressing my health issues. Dr. James & Staff have given me hope and the ability to trust that all physicians cannot be bullied or bought! There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Dr. James is. My husband has suffered through two months of agony, from a back injury, and the radiologist who read his MRI and the neurosurgeon we consulted (in Greenville, SC) disagreed on the diagnosis. A dear friend had found Dr. James after 3 doctors incorrectly diagnosed HER, and 6 months post-surgery she is doing fantastically well. So, we decided to send in a new patient request form. Yes, he's located 150 miles away, but at that point we did not care: we just desperately wanted a diagnosis and plan of action. Dr. James, who is justly renowned, saw us THE NEXT DAY. He ordered x-rays, and showed us on them and the MRI, in particular, exactly what the issue is (nerve compression caused by herniated discs), proposed a plan of surgical intervention, asked us how quickly we wanted to move, we said in unison "QUICKLY!" and we left the office with a date for surgery. This man's wonderful, helpful, professional staff will tell you that he is humility personified, in spite of his extraordinary abilities, his Harvard Medical School education, and his serving as team physician for the Atlanta Falcons. And they are right. We were so grateful to have a PLAN to address the horror of ongoing agony that we wept with relief...and Dr. James hugged us both. I could write so much more, but I will just say this: If you need a spine surgeon, look no further than Dr. Plas James.

My first visit was very thorough. I know he will find the problem and correct it. He is a very compassionate doctor. He spent a lot of time with my examination and explaining the results of the x-rays. He is a top level doctor with a top level office!

I came in today a little discourage because I didn't understand what was wrong with my neck. I left feeling well informed of my condition and was ready to take the next step in treatment. Very friendly staff and Dr. James was great. I would recommend him to any one.
