Visited the ER with a high fever and flu. I am a renal transplant patient hence the need to go to ER. A person not in my condition would probably just need to go to urgent care. Was assigned this doctor who was so nonchalant about my case and simply said to me, you have the flu. When I told him they also found an infection he just brushed it off and said it was minor and sent me home with antibiotics. Five days after my antibiotics were done I was back to having a high fever and miserable. I went to urgent care instead of the ER (which set me back $700) and received superior care (for $75) from a nurse practitioner who correctly diagnosed me and prescribed the appropriate antibiotics. So angry and disappointed with this doctor who was extremely careless with my health. Ask for a second opinion.
