If I could leave a zero rating I would. She was the palliative care doctor for my husband while he was at U of Chicago for prostate cancer. Her bed side manor with my husband was very good but she was impossible to reach outside the office. On numerous occasions I would email her about symptoms he was displaying with no response from her. He was displaying symptoms of renal failure. His last visit for a blood transfusion at U of C was the last visit from her. She discovered thrush in his mouth which she ordered medication for and then ordered bloodwork for his kidney issues. We did not get the results that evening and on his exit from the car he fell from dizziness from renal failure and had to go to ICU. Then I received a call from U of C stating his kidneys had failed. Two weeks later he passed. So I DO NOT recommend Monica Malec.
