This was the worst doctor I have ever seen. She sat at the desk with her head on her hand looking like she was falling asleep.. Worst bedside manner. She did nothing to help me or to give me any ideas for pain relief. She is very degrading and yes did seem annoyed. I felt like walking out a few times. I will not go back and I see this is how she is from other reviews. And yes I was in tears when I walked out.. Waste of an hour and a half.

I found Dr Bastian to be aloof, degrading, and annoyed. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it made me feel like crying! I will be asking my primary care physician for a referral to another rheumatologist.

Although thorough Dr. Bastian should schedule her patients accordingly. If you plan on taking am hour and a half with a patient you should not schedule your next patient 30 minutes apart or 15 minutes apart.I work to pay my insurance that gives me the ability to see doctors and if I have to spend half a day in the office to be told I need to walk everyday, no I don't need that.

For the first time I felt someone was going to help me. Very knowledgeable and great bed side manner. I finally feel that my pain level is going to be managed appropriately.

I'm a 64 year old male with Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have had for 6 years. Her first words to me was, we need to get you off prednisone, it will kill you sooner or later. My first visit was great, she checked every joint in my body, that hadn't been done in five years with the former Rheumatologist. She wanted to get me off the Prednisone as quick as possible to have a MRI, which did show damage to my hands. She is one of the most compassionate, unbelievable, professional Doctor's I've had in my life. Her exam's are to every joint in my body, she tell me about "our" plan of attack for my wellness, and recovery of the use of my hands. She gives me hope for the future that I will be a whole person again. The staff are so awesome. They make you feel at home. I would highly recommend Dr. Bastian, and have.

I have been seeing Dr. Bastian in at Piedmont Arthritis in Greenville, SC for my rheumatoid arthritis for three years now and have found her and the staff at Piedmont Arthritis to be very friendly and helpful. In particular, Dr. Bastian’s exams are very thorough and she takes the time to fully review and discuss treatment options. Under her care my rheumatoid arthritis has markedly improved. Dr. Bastian recommended a different drug combination to what I had been using before I started seeing her and as a result of the drug changes and her treatments, I am now living with my rheumatoid arthritis pain free.
