Dr. Matthews is the best ER doc I have ever come into contact with. He won't write you off with anxiety or other "easy" diagnoses and really listens/cares. He treated me like I was an interesting case and really wanted to figure out what was wrong with me. He ordered all the right tests and is clearly knowledgable about important differentials. I hate going to the ER unless it's absolutely necessary, but Dr. Matthews did not make me feel bad for coming in and was immediately interested in making sure I was okay. He knew when to consult specialists to confirm my ability to be discharged and I left feeling better knowing that he covered absolutely EVERYTHING to make sure I was safe to leave the hospital. I am happy to know there are docs out there like Dr. Matthews!
