Staff knew what they were doing, they are extremely busy, but handled it well for only having a few people. Dr. Mixa knew exactly what was going on with me and helped me tremendously! Anne in x-ray was so sweet and helpful. Ariel in check-out is always so energetic and happy she always brightens my day!

My mother-in-law recently had her knee replaced. The doctor rarely went to see her in rehab and getting a live body to return a phone call is almost impossible.

I wish I could show you a picture of the bone coming out of my foot after Mixa - will not dignify the title doctor with the name - neglected to even look at it. And he was recommended by St Anthony's hospital why I didn't think to look him up! His staff was rude, he was an hour late (and I was the first patient!) and I don't know how many more years I will be able to walk. I sent him a letter to see what I could do to stop the damage no response. DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE PERSON!

I honestly don't know how he was able to get his family to write all those reviews! Anyone who has ever been to his office knows how miserable the patients are, after sitting for a couple of hours. After 3 surgery's all bad, he left my arm totally deformed and I was told to use that hand to put food in my mouth. As he walked out.

Dr. Mixa did a knee revision on me in July of 2015 that had to be re-done again this month (Feb, 2017) When I returned to the office for a consult after I noticed the implant had loosened, he had no recollection of me and asked "who did this surgery?" When you are either too busy or too lazy to read a patient chart before you enter the exam room, there is something wrong with how you practice medicine. His staff is barely polite. The day I was there BCBS was having some kind of snafu ion their end. Despite knowing this, the staff refused to work with us having insurance issues (knowing it was not our fault)and were refusing to see people and/or charging them full fees for seeing the doctor. For some reason many of his patients bring their entire families to their appointments, so there are lots of screaming children in the waiting room, where you will wait from 1 to 3 hours to see the doctor. I would highly recommend you go elsewhere for your orthopedic needs.

On advice of my attorney details ca ankle nnot be disclosed. Dr. Mixa removed plates and screws from my ankle. I had a horrible sore on the side of my foot that i asked about numerous times only to be told uncaringly and impatiently was only a bug bite. he operated on my leg and 3 days later it was inflamed and infected. after several brounds of an antibiotic he sent me to WOUND CARE where i was their patient for 5 months. after an MRI found out i did indeed have osteomyelytis bone infection. the wound care dr told m the sore was a portal for a bone infection. Two years later i am still using a walker and as a result of the length of time I had the infection I also have chronic lymphadema for the rest of my life.
