Dr. Cousins is the best. She is compassionate to her patients and their families. Most importantly, she is a fantastic diagnostician.

Dr cousins called my toddler fat. She gave him disgusted looks and was not friendly. When I explained to her that his last cold had hit him hard she says, "well look at all the fat on his face! It's disgusting. It holds everything in and makes colds harder"
first of all, that doesn't make sense. And second, my son has asthma. That is why colds hit him hard.

She also insisted that I was a terrible mom because my son had a tiny bruise on his upper arm. She asked, "how did he get that bruise?" I told her I wasn't sure as he runs and falls sometimes. Her reply was, "how do you not know how he got a bruise?"
He's a toddler...he's going to bump things and fall. And he's going to get a bruise sometimes. The bruise was the size of a pencil eraser....

I felt very discouraged after our appointment and will never see her again. It is not okay to treat patients and parents in that manner.

Her actions could have been detrimental to a child old enough to understand the word "fat" or to a mother suffering from PPD. I do not recommend anyone see Dr. Cousins. She is vile.
