Don't go to this Dr. He has absolutely no bed side manner and treats his patients like it is a cattle call. Dr. Ellis (previously assigned doctor was Wonderful.) I am writing for my mother-in- law who is elderly and has a lot of back pain from previous surgery and is on pain management. She was assigned to Dr. Perera upon Dr. Ellis leaving. Dr. Perera barley looked at her charts and didn't talk to her about how she was feeling and when a question was asked he was blunt and used "medical terms" she could not understand and then left. We didn't know he was even done. Finding him down the hall, we asked if he was finished and he sneered like we were dumb not to know he was and said "yes". Absolutely a low rating with us and I am not bringing her back to see him.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Gets to know his patients. Will not tolerate mismanagement of medication and expects patients to be responsible which is important.

True story , please read before going forward with Dr Perera ! I have been a patient of Dr Perera for more than three years , I have delt with pain
management for the past fifteen years of my life and hsve had been dealing with pain due to a unfortunate spine defect that I was born with ! I have dealt with many wonderful doctor's over the years . Dr P started off ok but very cocky and over the few years with him I did everything he wanted , but unfortunately my pain is something that just goes away ive had many corrective surgery's which fix some things but other worse , the moral of my story is that I will always have pain alot due to nerve damage and scar tissue ! So because I cant just be easily fix Dr Perera turned his back on me , after a while he would not listen to anything I said just talks through you and does whatever he feels like , then he just gave up basically told me it was my fault for my Birth defect , which im really sorry I was born this way but nothing I can do about it , I didn't choose this life for me , so he belittled me mad me feel not good enough to be helped by him , so this is why I consider him a lousy doctor , very selfish , irrogant , and from being a very good judge of character can easily tell that Dr Perera who is from Singapore , looks down on Americans and that they are less than him , so I would say if you have a serious condition do not bother with this doctor is not out for your better interest just looks forward to his large paychecks , hes not married which says alot and joked to me about how easy it is for him to find young american girls to have intercourse with , he really is a sick individual , he thinks hes a slick playboy over here in America wearing tight jeans all the time with his cowboy boots , does dress like a real doctor nor act like one , so now im left trying to pick myself back up and go foward with my condition that I will deal with untill I die , again Dr P Im very regretful for going to you and have a new doctor now that has given me hope to live life and not sufer in intense pain but deal with a milder more managable pain , thanks for nothing !

Very mixed feelings about this DR.so he is hard to rate.If you are seeing a PM because of an injury,than I would say..I love this Dr. he is nice,he is very active with treatment,he is not quick to medicate.On the other hand,if you are a Chronic with multible "conditions" on top of injury.Do not go to him,unless you already have all those "conditions" under control with other physicians.I came in,having the same PM for many yrs,that was managing everything;but no longer took Medi.I would recommend this Dr. highly like I said if you are dealing with just injury;but for a long term Chronic,with multibles...he is stubborn,and will not listen to the patient,or other Doctors about why that is the reason those same exact teatments did not work in the past.I would go back;after I got myself to that point;but not until then.If you are a multible,save yourself the torture.He will drive you to the edge,before reason.
