I have had great experience with Dr. East and his NP, Alaina. (Unfortunately, Alaina has been moved to another office.)

I've worked with many pain doctors and Dr. east is by far is the best. Not only is he very smart but he looks at more conservative options for pain other then medication, steroids, and surgery. The Regenerative side of things seems to work far better and he is very knowledgeable in it. I would recommend him to everyone if you actually want to get better and not just given a band aide for your pain.

I had an epidural injection for my back today. I cannot day enough wonderful comments about Dr.East and his staff. When I had my consultation, I was impressed but after my injection today, I was totally blown away by how special the staff made me feel. I was the last patient of the day on a Friday, (an add/on patient, but they took the time to explain the procedure and made sure I was well informed when I left the office.

I be been a patient with Dr. East’s practice for years (I got a referral when I was pregnant with my daughter because of the terrible back pain.)
I’ve stuck with his practice for so long because they continually put the utmost effort in to finding solutions for me.
[SIDENOTE: I was a competitive gymnast growing up and have dealt with back issues from a very young age. And now, this damn thing called Adulthood (that sounds better than “aging body parts” or “getting older”, doesn’t it?) seems to make it all worse.]

I can’t speak highly ENOUGH of Dr. East, his vastly experienced NP’s Sylvia and Elaina, and the rest of the wonderful nurses, MA, and office staff.
Even if it’s a bad day, I’ve never seen anyone at the office without smiles on their faces; when they ask you how you’re feeling it’s with genuine sincerity. I always feel the doc(s)/NP’s offer respect not just as a patient, but as a person....your input & questions matter, they’ve NEVER been condescending towards me, and above all, they respect your choices /comfort level in regards to making decisions for your treatment.

Dr. East makes the effort to personally check in with me either via phone or if I’m in the office (usually seeing Sylvia.) Really.....How many doctors can you say that about???!!! (Yeah....he picks up the phone!)

But, truly, I’m most impressed by fact that over the years, they’ve never quit on me or gotten lazy when trying to assess the issue/ figure out a solution. Dr. East, et. al., are so up to date on current medical treatments, the newest and most innovative techniques, as well as knowing when to stick with something tried and true. They won’t send you for unnecessary procedures or surgery if it’s not needed. (That was my big fear that someone would want to cut into me and mess with my spine!)

The “procedures” (if you can even call it that it’s been so easy) are rhizotmies, facet injections, and Botox treatment for migraines.....
They’ve all made a world of difference for me (and no one has had to cut on my spine!) I wouldn’t be able to turn my head, sleep through the night, or even do everyday activities like type, dry my hair, etc. without my fingers going numb, MUCH LESS play tennis and continue a very active lifestyle without their ideas and help with these procedures! (The pain has been so bad at times it would wake me up in the middle of the night....)

(Btw, I’ve sent a couple friends to their practice that had stem cells for their knee problems and they SWEAR by it....said it’s been life changing.)

I was so nervous at first to try anything, but it is so safe, so easy, and Dr. East will always choose the least invasive and most conservative approach that will work the best for you. That gave me the comfort, confidence, and security I needed. (Understandably, It’s a lot to trust someone when working on/near your spine, right?)

They are, as we like to say, “good people,” Dr’s & NP’s are very bright, highly skilled, experienced, and innovative. It’s absolutely worth the time it takes to make the appointment.

One last thing- you should know - this truly comes from my heart. I’m terrible at leaving reviews. I never do it. Know- they didn’t pay me, I didn’t get anything in return for this....I just honestly think so highly of this office and group of people that I felt it was finally time to tell Google (aka you review readers) how much I think of Dr. John East, Sylvia-NP, Elaina-NP, and the rest of the excellence I’ve found Addison Pain & Regenerative Medicine over the years.

Dr. East is the best in Dallas! I have been going to his clinic since 2014 for pain due to a herniated disc. I initially had pain in my hip and another doctor told me without having an MRI that I had a torn labrum and needed surgery. I was confused when I saw Dr. East for the first time and he suspected it was my back--thank goodness I gave him a shot because sure enough he was right! He had me go for an MRI, and found I had a disc herniation at my L4/L5. No surgery needed!! One epidural steroid injection and my hip pain went away completely for a few years. Then after having a baby, my pain came back stronger than Dr. East did PRP (platelet-rich plasma). It hurt like heck for 5 days, but wow the results are incredible! Once again, I have no more pain, and I can pick up and carry my baby, sit for long periods of time, work out, and live my life without the constant nagging aches and pains that would sometimes have me in tears. I am so thankful for Dr. East and his kind staff that helped me through this. Visiting his office is always a wonderful experience--its not your normal stale and stuffy doctor's office environment. They get you in and out promptly so it makes for an easy appointment during my lunch break, unlike other doctor's offices where you sometimes wait for over an hour. Sylvia and her medical assistant are amazing too!

I have been going to Dr. East and his staff for several years. Sylvia is my Dr at the moment with her assistant Morgan. They are all very nice and are always trying to evaluate and do the best they can. Other Doctors just wanted me to have surgery but with the shots and procedures I have had with Addison Pain Management I have been leading a good life. Every employee there have been nothing but very compassionate and caring. I will always go to them.

I only wish I still lived there. He gave me an injection - right in the office - for my torn rotator cuff and it was pain free for a very long time. He always tried his best with me, and while I no longer take narcotics, I wish I could get another shoulder injection. I was always treated very well and am surprised to see negative reviews. Things must have really changed.
