Arrogant and rude, doesn't show sympathy towards his patients. I'm not going back to him again.

Dr. Chung in my opinion was a horrible doctor. He diagnosed me with Lupus without examining me. He looked at my bloodwork and handed me a print out from webmd telling me to read about Lupus. He could not properly explain to me what the disease was. Luckily I got a second opinion and found he misdiagnosed me. I developed the same rash 3 different times and he made me come into his office each time for no reason. I would recommend finding someone who has more experience than Dr. Chung. He is a waste of time.

My husband saw this doctor because he was rated as one of the 100 best doctors in Washington DC. Not only was he unable to diagnose my husband, he was extremely pompous and had a poor bedside manner which I experienced firsthand. As one of the other reviewers stated, if you are not a "textbook" case, he is unable to diagnose properly and is closeminded to the latest medical research and studies -- particularly on difficult to diagnose patients. He primarily excluded a lupus diagnosis based on the fact that he was male (i.e. males make up approximately 25% of the lupus population, moreso if you are over age 50) and did not have a rash on his face. If you are a classic case of whatever disorder you have, then he is probably an okay doctor. If your symptoms are vague and you are looking to be diagnosed, find another doctor. The office staff is extremely friendly and helpful though.

This doctor practices Evidence Based Medicine, which is the right way for diagnosis and treatment. Labs/xray's/MRI's are reviewed, explained to patients and results are provided in paper so that there are no misunderstanding in the test results or the diagnosis. He also provides patient with medical literature on their diagnosis/treatment, so that you are not left behind in the latest treatment options. Lastly, the most outstanding aspect of Dr. Chung is that if your questions are not answered by him in a correct manner, he will find someone who will.

I did not like this doctor at all. He did not correctly read my lab work on two different occasion and if I had not sought a second opinion, I would have been taking medicine that I really did not need, which could have been very dangerous. He in not knowledgeable and of course there is no wait to see him, since he is not that good. I switched rheumatologist and found a much better one, who actually diagnosed me and now I am feeling better. Do not see him, unless you are a text book case.He can not help you, and most of the time with these diseases they are hard to pinpoint and therefor make it difficult for doctors like him to understand and treat their patients properly.Simply because this disease does not present itself in the early stages as "classic textbook".

i felt that dr.chung made a terrible first impression. i felt that he was condescending and lacking in compassion. i have a great respect for the practice of medicine, and i respect the opinion of my physicians, so his attitude really surprised me. i will not see this doctor again.
