Biography
Dr. Kevin Huguet is a leading surgeon, practicing at Bay Surgical Specialists in St. Petersburg FL. Dr. Huguet specializes in laparoscopic surgeries and is highly experienced in surgical treatments for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Additionally, he is experienced in surgical oncology. Dr. Huguet earned his medical degree at the University of Southern Florida College of Medicine and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He served his internship and residency in general surgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Huguet also completed a postgraduate fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine where he took advanced training in laparoscopic surgery techniques including bariatric surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgical Congress, Florida Medical Association and Pinellas County Medical Association. Dr. Huguet is dedicated to helping his patients to better health through minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical techniques. Dr. Huguet’s special interests include laparoscopic bariatric surgery, laparoscopic treatment of gastric and esophageal disorders, colorectal issues, hernias, and adrenal and splenic disorders. He has extensive experience in treating pancreatic cancer including the Whipple procedure, as well as laparoscopic pancreatic surgery. Dr. Huguet and his colleagues at Bay Surgical Specialists are currently welcoming new patients and referrals. Most major forms of medical insurance are accepted.

Once you have the surgery you never see the doctor again... PA and office staff really did not know why I was there... One PA obviously did not tell the other PA why I was to be seen 10 days later. I did not like the way financial matters were handled in front of everyone waiting. The verdict is still out on the surgeon giving him a chance to make up for it... #notholding my breath.
