Dr Kenneth Edelson took care of my skin problems for months after my seeing several dermatologists who could not diagnose my problem. He is a world class fellow, whose professionalism, warmth and sense of humor are way above the norm. I would recommend him unqualafiedly to anyone seeking excellent dermatologic care. I have referred several friends and my family see Dr. Edelson, all of whom are very very pleased. He even calls you the day after doing any surgical procedure to follow up and make sure there are no problems. His waiting room and office are most warm and comfortable and immaculate as well.

A very professional, caring and superb dermatologist. My family and I have been Dr. Edelson's patients for many years, and so have our friends. He is great both medically and cosmetically.

Excellent, caring and professional physician. I have had nothing but excellent treatment from him and his staff over the years.

I wish I could give this doctor 0 stars because he the most money hungry, unprofessional doctor I have ever seen in NY. He has made me cry in his office because of his nasty, mean, and condescending attitude. To top it off, his staff (a new receptionist- he didn't have one for a while and he was running the front office and seeing patients at the same time) got the date of my appointment wrong and they charged my credit $100 for missing an appointment I didn't even make. Why would I make an appointment for a day and time I knew I would be unavailable?? The doctor refused to talk to me about the mix-up and his receptionist hung up the phone on me. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. He is a scam and cares very little about his patience and their well-being. Find a better, more compassionate and understanding doctor.

I am compelled by the abrasive and unprofessional treatment I received from Dr. Edelson to share my experience. First, Dr. Edelson's receptionist requested that I pay a co-pay amount that was greater than what I believed I owed under my insurance plan. I asked her to call my insurance company. She discussed my request with Dr. Edelson, and then instructed me to "step out of the office" and call my insurance company myself. Further, during the visit, I told Dr. Edelson about a skin irritation on my back. He looked at it very briefly with a naked eye and replied, "I don't see anything." I actually had to provide a diagnosis to him that I guessed based on internet research. He agreed with my diagnosis and prescribed a cream. He told me to come back in 2 weeks for the remainder of my treatment. When I asked him to tell me his complete treatment plan, he refused, and I was put in the awkward position of having to convince him otherwise.

As you can see, it is obvious that the same person wrote the only reviews giving Dr. Edelson a 5 in all categories. He is most likely writing his own reviews based on the verbiage and jargon used, in addition to the repetitive patient situation used for all three patient entries. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to see this Dr. I work in the medical field and I am embarrassed that others are being referred to him. I am definitely filing complaints against him and have reported him to my PCP. Further action will DEFINITELY take place. Not only did this Dr raise a hand and walk away from me after addressing me from behind the front desk, but he also said "You are wasting my time." I received his disgusting actions in response to what was SIMPLY a mistake by my insurance company. He didn't even take 30 seconds to educate me so that I could rectify the situation. I am disgusted by his actions and hope that I will soon be a health-care worker that is NOTHING like him.

This man is rude and uncaring and has a God complex. Do not go to him. Could the good reviews on here have been made by him? He is one of the meanest men I have ever come across and someone heard him say how much how much he detests fat women. Not a nice man. If I was over weight I would want a doctor to help me and not hate me for the way that I look.

No receptionist because he's rude & obnoxious. I saw him in a span of 3 yrs & put up with his behavior because I live nearby & relied on his injections. I always waited for him but if I was late for 5 mins, he'd give a rude remark. I'm happy to come across this site so I can give him the review that he deserves. Horrible. He's friends with Woody Allen. No wonder.

He only cares about himself, his money, and is unethical. As a first and last time patient, I got buzzed into his office and filled out the insurance paperwork. One question asked why I was in to see the doctor. I stated my issue. While filling out the papers you will get to enjoy the homage that he is setup for you--a two minute clip of him saying something so stupid over and over again and an article of himself with Woody Allen (these being two of the "highlights" of the shrine). before calling me in to his office he asks for the $20 copay. he doesn't even look at why I am coming in. Only after I pay the $20 and I'm in his office does he tell me that my insurance doesn't cover it. Had he told me from the get go that my insurance doesn't cover it I would've left without paying my $20. He is a CROOK and I would stay away. He'll only give you two minutes to ask questions. i guess he has to dust the tv screen for his viewers--i mean patients.
