My Achilles’ tendon was totally severed. My family doctor recommended seeing Dr. Cottom. He was also recommended by some other members in our community. He was able to repair the severed tendon and after nine weeks of following his instructions, I feel confident that I am going to have a successful recovery.

Diligent and professional staff supporting an awesome doctor that keeps ahead of current modalities in surgery and recovery. Very thorough communication with his assistant KP and their pre and post operative instructions. The doctor and staff called after my surgery to check on my recovery and gave me an after hours number if I should need to contact them.


Other than the first few days after my surgery, I no longer needed the Prescribed Oxycodone and managed my soreness with over the counter Tylenol. Dr. Cottom explained several options I had with my injury and recommended several additional treatments to aid in healing, swelling, and pain management.

Heel spur surgery, 1 yr. to recover. Infection, alot of scar tissue build up, several cast and a wound Vac to finally get it to heal. He ka cked concern. Went to another Dr. for correcting, he refused due to the damage that had been done. I have more of a problem now than before I let Dr. Cottom operate.

I met with Dr. Cottom a little over a month ago after a slip and fall accident in February. I have been to see 4 orthopedic surgeons who thought they would be able to help me but after seeing my scans decided I needed someone who specialized. After meeting with Dr. Cottom and his staff I finally feel like someone is there to help me. I’m 46 years old, last year I sailed through the Caribbean, swam in the deep sea took long walks with my dog on the beach and now I can’t walk more than a block without being in excruciating pain. He asked what I’m looking to get out of my surgery and I honestly told him I just want to be able to walk and swim. I have the utmost confidence in him. I have 2 surgeries scheduled this month including T.A.R. I look forward to singing his praises.

Back on my feet again!
After a recent brake of my foot, I ended up requiring surgery for a floating chip. I was so thrilled it was Dr. Cottom who I was referred to and did the surgery, his taking the time to explain, put my fears at bay and taking the extra steps in precaution towards my successful healing journey was appreciated. His staff was amazing and supportive and I was so grateful to have them as part of the team. Highly recommend for any foot and ankle support required. My daughter, Chloe, had an injury that bothered her off and on for almost a year. After visiting a handful of other doctors and not getting any answers we came to see Dr. Cottom. He was amazing. He explained what was causing the pain and had a plan to help stop it. With Chloe being a volleyball player, she wanted to get back on the court as quickly as possible. Not only did Dr. Cottom get us into an MRI appt right away, he was able to get her into surgery within the week (on Christmas Eve)! Being the worried mother I am I had questions in the following weeks after surgery. My emails and phone calls were followed up quickly by KP, his assistant. Within 8 weeks my daughter was back on the courts. We both couldn’t be any happier with the results. Thank you Dr. Cottom, Dr. Charles, KP and the rest of your staff!

I couldn't ask for a better doctor when it came to my most recent foot surgery. Very knowledgeable, great communicator, and was realistic when forecasting healing and recovery time . I will go to him again for my left foot in a few months. The office staff are very professional, great customer experience and very, very punctual. Highly recommend this doctor for a lot of reasons....
