No follow up care! I called Jan 8th and was scheduled for my first appointment at the end of March. The appointment was not great, he went on many tangents about himself (he once took a group of baristas to dinner and had a fight with his friend earlier that day) and asking me what I wanted from him instead of asking relevant questions to my symptoms and struggles. I felt uncomfortable, talked down to, and not listened to.

I went to the desk to schedule another appointment and he didn't have an opening until mid May but I was PROMISED they would put me on the call list to be seen weekly, that they had so many last minute cancellations it would be fine. It has been 5 weeks since and I have received no calls, I had been on the call list in January and did receive calls then so I know it works. I feel abandoned as a patient. If you have serious needs do not turn to him, Burt and his office staff say what you want to hear then do not follow through in giving quality care. I wish I could speak more to his therapy style but I had one useless appointment with him where he did most of the talking and was promised weekly treatment I did not receive.

I have been seeing Dr. Burt on a very regular basis for six years, and he has been a godsend. His gentle insistence on the acknowledgment of truth—along with practical behavioral and psychological life advice—has helped me become a much more balanced, healthy, and happy person.

Dr. Burt is an excellent psychologist AND coach. Every single session, he hones in when listening. If there's ever any ambiguity about what you're communicating, he breaks that down to completely understand where you're coming from. Dr. Burt is professional, engaging, fun, and constructive. He challenges patients and clients, and pushes them towards growth. Personally, this works well for me, but I understand it is not everyone's preference. These sessions have made a tremendous impact on my life, and I recommend him fully.

Although Dr Burt was affable and kind at first, he listened to about one sentence of my situation and quickly jumped to his (wrongful) conclusion of me. I literallty was in his office for less than two minutes and he already assumed he had "figured" me out. He was very biased and completely unprofessional. Would not recommend him.

Dr. Burt is one of the nicest and seemingly caring therapists that I have had the pleasure of meeting. His advice, however, bordered on offensive. After listening to one of my problems for less than five minutes, he blurts out some outrageous hypothesis that had zero basis. I expect a professional to truly absorb what I am saying and give rational and informed advice, this is not what he did. As we moved onto other subjects I only witnessed his inability to grasp certain problems that I had or even believe that they could induce severe anxiety for me. He is a self-proclaimed "life coach," which I think is fitting reduction of his PhD in clinical psychology. If I could give one piece of advice for a prospective patient it would be to look at his personal website. If his website instills even the slightest sense of uncertainty in his ability to help you on a professional level, then rethink seeing Dr. Burt as I unfortunately did not. jeromeburt.com

Comfortable office, he is very knowledgeable, He read me like a book! Race doesn't matter to this man. He a wonderful decent human being who helped me tremendously; after dealing with the politics of working with Metro Nashville Schools. The upper leadership there is cut-throat and crazy as hell!!! Trust me....I needed Dr. Burt after dealing with those Bozos! See Burt, he's the man!

He is a gift from God. Ive been seeing him for years. My life was a wreak and he has helped me uncover and work thru all those closeted demons that prevented me from truly experiencing life. He I is the best!!!!!

Dr. Burt is excellent. The best I have known not just as Dr but also as a person. True greatness/expertise rarely comes from people who are not also good on the inside. Dr. Burt is good at what he does b/c he is a good person who also happens to be very smart, well-trained and gifted with highly proficient sense of empathy that enables him to understand his patients with impressive depth.

Dr. Burt gets to the bottom of your situation and helps you see the true meaning to life whether it right or wrong or its ok to feel that way. I know if I had not started see Dr. Burt my marriage would be over today. I do highly recommend Dr. Burt you want be disappointed!
