I originally researched the best doctor and fit for my sister-in-law who died at 59 after living through FTD (frontal temporal dementia). Any part of the disease you can get, she had. It affected her mental, physical and behavioral. It’s been two years since she passed. Lots of times patients will have one part. She had it all and it was brutal. I became her daily care companion while she was in memory care because she had to have one on one care. I would not have survived without Dr Dammers and Mandy. I probably drove them crazy but they gave me guidance and listened when I needed it. My sister-in-law couldn’t communicate anymore and you never knew what behavior she would show minute by minute. I feel so blessed to have helped care for her. We went to high school together. I am so greatly appreciative of Dr Dammers and Mandy!!! So much so that I have my dad starting with with him. He has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He and my stepmom love him. Of course I have accompanied them to the first two appointments. We have such peace and a plan. My dad is doing great and this is just the beginning and we are hopeful it will be a slow progression. Trust and admiration are two words that come to mind regarding Dr Dammers!!

Dr. Dammers is an excellent doctor in the field of psychology. He’s been a tremendous help for me. I have numerous issues concerning my physical and mental health. It’s a rarity to find a physician who genuinely displays patient centered care. His nurse Mandy, is quick on call backs and fast to give information concerning your care. I’m truly blessed to have a caring and compassionate physician.

I have been treated by Dr Dammers for 3 years following a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation evaluating traumatic brain injury. He prescribes a controlled substance for my attention, that requires that I be seen for Rxs. I schedule in advance and never have a problem. I am not like some of the drug addicts out there that are making getting treatment harder. He also talks to my spouse, so she can assist me, and she thinks he is great. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need. I don't know about these other people having problems with their drugs.

I have seen this Dr. since 2009, in recent years for annual visits as the medications are stable. He has always stayed in touch with my internal medicine Dr., as I have multiple autoimmune disorders. Most helpful have been the medications that he discontinued, either personally, or through one of my other (many) Drs. I would still be on at least one of those medications if he had not known exactly what it was doing to me. 5 stars is hardly enough. I could fill up this space with examples of the lack of care I received from my past Dr. I also like being able to see my Neuro Dr. in the same office.

I have been treated by Dr. Dammers for 3 years. My primary care M.D. INSISTED that I seem him, and only him, and I had to wait 4 months for that appt. (after I CX one appt.). His assessment was much more thorough than my previous psych and he had no problem completing FMLA paperwork for my work. I have already referred family and friends to see him. You will not be disappointed seeing him, especially if you have seen someone else for comparison purposes (unless you are drug-seeking)! He takes insurance which a lot of these folks don't! He has a lot of patients for a reason... just saying.
