He is absolutely the worst doctor that has ever seen my children. Any concern I had was completely disregarded. He seems to be obsessed with weight. My child is 6 years old and far from obese...he is stocky, built like a football player, but not obese. But that is what he called him, obese...right in front of my already over sensitive child. He even took it one step further to say that I should only feed him 200-300 calories a day. A DAY. And then vome bavk for a weight check. That is abuse considering the average caloric intake for a child his age should be 1400. When it came to my very petite, eat-like-a-bird daughter, I expressed concerns with her size and appetite. He told me that her size is fine since she has grown and that we wouldn't want her to end up obese like her brother. The doctors at East Bay Pediatrics are all well aware that we choose not to vaccinate, and although they disapprove, that is our choice. I am fine that Dr. Ferretti did his duty in asking me if I wanted to vaccinate this time around and to offer me information and statistics. But when he took it so far as to say that my decision could result in death, in front of both of my children, well that is just something you don't do! I wish it stopped there, but there is more. Upon ending the visit he went on to say "I know I'm going to be politically incorrect here" and brought up my past due balance (that ocurred due to a lapse in insurance at the time of a previous appointment, that I was unaware of at that time) and felt the need to offer a ridiculous analogy as if I were a child and didn't understand how a business works (this is after I had just paid over $200 at check in). And yes, this was all done with a smile and in a passive aggressive way. He spent more time belittling and berating me than he did on my childrens' actual physicals! Stay far away!

Dr. Ferretti is a condescending MD who I brought my child to after a suspicious bump on her torso. Dr. Ferretti barely looked at my child in the eyes, along with myself. He also made it a point to end every sentence with" Do you know what I mean"- treating me as an inferior. He also made it a specific point to discuss my childs mixed race heritage- something I found beyond rude and unprofessional.I would advise staying away from his care if at all possible.

Dr. Ferretti has been caring for my two sets of twins since the youngest were two and now they are almost 16! He has always given us 200% of his time and care.I just came here out of curiousity after looking up a dr. for myself and after reading the single negative above I feel compelled to share my view. You couldn't dream of a better dr. for your kids ..smart. funny.personable. straight talking.listens but is never patronizing and takes lots of time to explain or persuade....rather than dictate or argue. Its always obvious that he loves his job ....his enthusiasm is genuine and Im not exaggerating any of this...

Worse doctor I have ever met. He was covering for my child's regular pediatrician one Saturday this past January. Very condescending and unprofessional. I would not let him treat my dog.
