I reside north of Toronto, ON and was enroute to The Masters when I needed immediate med attention for suspected blocked salivary glands. I was referred to SCENT by another acute med care centre who indicated SCENT accepts walk-ins. The first ENT I saw felt I needed to be seen by a more experienced Dr and was seen by Dr Uretzky. He was very informative of 2 other very rare autoimmune conditions I have and explained the surgical procedure he would do in detail with no sugar coating which I liked He removed several stones and remained with me for about 10 minutes as I was shaking like a leaf which is most unusual for me. He indicated he suspected I have Sjogren’s and he was very accurate as it’s closely related to PBC which resulted in a liver transplant. His extensive knowledge was very impressive and his bed side manner exemplary. I have to see 10 specialists at Toronto General Hospital which is among the top 5 rated hospitals in the world. I put him among my top 3 specialists for sure

My son had very bad reflux and would spit up acid. For our appointment he was crying in the waiting room and Dr. Uretzky came and carried him into the exam room. He helped sooth him and even fed him a bottle after his examination. He is wonderful with kids and listened to me. I felt heard and like my concerns were important. He spent time and explained my sons health condition and diagnosis with me and I left feeling like I understood it. He even was able to get me a coupon for a medication that our insurance didn’t cover which was expensive. He was so kind and such a great doctor! If you are considering seeing him, do, you won’t be disappointed.

My youngest daughter developed a pretty serious sinus infection, which began on a Friday afternoon. He made sure she was able to start medications right away. When she developed serious under eye swelling on Saturday, he went above and beyond making sure there was nothing serious going on and got the swelling under control. Here we are 24 hours later and her swelling his gone, just some residual redness in the area. Even on a Sunday he followed up to make sure she was doing okay. So reassuring having a Dr so caring and compassionate towards kids

Dr. Uretzky was amazing! He was able to diagnose my issues within 5 minutes of seeing him (something that three other doctors had failed to do and misdiagnosed as sinus/allergy issues when the issue was my thyroid). I felt like I was being heard and in great hands. I highly recommend Dr. Uretzky and the folks over at SC ENT. Thank you!!
