I have been going to Dr. Anne Wiskind for YEARS. I have experienced the opposite of what some of the peoople are talking about here. I have found her to be extremely warm and easy to communite with. Not many doctors will actually take the time to sit with you in their office AFTER your annual exam and go over everything, take the time to answer any questions you have, etc. She also introduced me to bio-identical hormones for post-menopausal symptoms before many of my friends' doctors even knew about them. She is very professional and business-like, perhaps that is what people are mistaking for being condescending, but I've never gotten that feeling from her--and believe me, I'm the kind of patient who asks lots of questions at times and could drive a doctor a little crazy! I would highly, highly recommend her. Her staff have always been extremely helpful as well.

After trying other doctors for treatment of a very difficult bladder/ gyno problem, Dr. Wiskind was a godsend. Highly intelligent with much expertise and experience in this specialty, she not only successfully surgically corrected my problem, but also is the most caring medical specialist I have ever encountered. She phoned often to check on me. In the office and hospital, she greeted me warmly with sincere interest in my feelings as well as my medical recovery. Her reputation in the medical community is sterling; she is a busy professional and, at times, there is a little bit of a wait in the office. I never minded that because I knew that when it was my turn, I would have her total attention. If you are looking for the best, Dr. Wiskind will not disappoint.

dr. w is one of the most knowledgeable and compassonate people i've ever met. she knew exactly how to treat me. i did not need surgery, but hear she is the best uro-gynecologist in the south. i always wonder what people expect when they meet a doctor? do they honestly think doctors spent years and years in med school studying ways to boost a patient's ego? give me someone who knows their stuff, is honest with me, and can solve my problem!

I found her to be very patronizing- as long as you don't have any opinions about what you expect out of healthcare, you would probably love her ( I have a friend that says she does). I am a nurse of almost 18 years, and as soon as I gave input into what I did and didn't want done in terms of extra tests (in a polite way), she became very patronizing and the office staff gave me the cold shoulder. Also, on TWO seperate occasions I was told that someone would call me back and nobody bothered. She is DISempowering for women- I've gotten more respect from every other male gynecologist I have ever gone to- what a shame!

She is phenomenal... I have tried Emory MDs and Wiskind is the best MD I have ever been to. She answers all your questions. You are not herded in like cattle and she treats you as a valued patient. Her IQ and resume are as great as her "bed side" manner.

Terrible. I told her I was nervous, which she repeated to other staff in a patronizing way. Then she ordered unnecessary lab tests without telling me and stuck me with the bill for $100. I now distrust the entire medical establishment because of her.
