Worst dentist ever , broke 2 metal files in my husbands tooth still in there couldnt even get it out now has to get it surgically removed and was absolutely rude about the situation

I notice some of these reviews are from years ago. Dr. LaMastra went through the CEL program with my husband, at UB. The goal was to use your peers to improve your business practices. I then started seeing Dr. LaMastra for my dental care. I have terrible tooth quality. He did braces and multiple cavities and root canals. He does not possess a fluffy bedside manner, if that's what you need, he's not your guy. He is cautious, explains procedures and is honest with what he thinks the best course of treatment is. He has the most current equipment in his office, he does work fast and so maybe people think that means it's shoddy work. I have teeth very prone to cavities so I feel like I am always there. I have only had to wait a long time for ONE appointment because he took an emergency case. The office generally runs on time.

Dr. Lamastra does not communicate with patients, and is rude and cocky. He assured me my teeth whitening would go well, then when it didn't he and his staff lied and said he would have to charge more to fix them. Now I am stuck with teeth that actually look worse after whitening! He does not care about the patients needs or comfort, and is very rough. I reported him to the BBB and would never recommend his office to anyone. His bedside manner is anything but professional, and he takes offense to any questions you ask him. Do not put your trust in this doctor. On my last visit before I left, he actually left a piece of a temp crown in my mouth and when I noticed it he said nothing like it wasn't a big deal. I had to fish it out with my own hands in the chair!!! Stay away from this doctor and staff.

I've been going to Dr. Lamastra for almost 5 years. He has fit me in on several occasions of dental emergencies. His staff are friendly and the office is very professional. He has also help fix the alignment of my teeth after my ortho fail to do so in several attempts after the invisalign was paid in full. I recommended my family and friends who are all now clients of Dr. Lamastra.

saw him years ago and he cut my lip with taking the drill out of my mouth and acted like it was no big deal. Was very rude and cocky.I have had a lot of dental work over the years and no one ever took the drill out while it was still on or cut me! Would NEVER go to him again.

perhaps the poorest quality work i've ever recieved - rough finish on my crowns. he started work without authorization from me or even telling me what he planned to do. i would NOT ever go back even if i was in pain

Poor bedside manner and does not listen to his patient's concerns. Would not recommend for young patients.
