Arrogant, condescending and refuses to listen to the concerns of patients

I found Dr. Kanaan to be a very knowledgeable and personable physician. I am extremely satisfied with the quality and duration of care he provided me.

My dad was admitted to the ER with severe back pain on a Friday. He was discharged on Tuesday with the back pain. He was seen by Dr. Kanaan on Friday at his office. Not much change in his condition and nothing was done other than pain pills. My dad has a history of 2 broken vertebrates which was repaired several years ago. Over looked by Dr. Kanaan or ignored. He was then seen again 1 week later in which he was hospitalized again on Friday for so called CHF this time. This was due to fluid build up from what Dr. Kanaan said was normal from the IV. If he knew this was possible, then why didn't Dr. Kanaan prescribe Lasix? And I am not even a Dr.. The back pain is severe now. Dr. Kanaan wanted to release him to rehab with the back pain and no further investigation into his back pain. We insisted that an orthopedic Dr. see him. He now has an orthopedic Dr. and he is doing an MRI which should have been the first time when our dad was admitted. Poor prognosis on Dr. Kanaan part.

All I have to say is, my husband was admitted into the emergency at 2pm on a Wednesday and he got released on Saturday, He NEVER saw Dr. Kanaan EVER the whole time he was there. He didn't even know he had him as a doctor until about 4 hours before he was discharged. But my husbands chart stated that Dr. Kanaan had seen him. Hmmm???

DR. Kanaan IS AMAZING! HIS STAFF IS THE BEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD! ALL MY APPOINTMENTS WERE GREAT! MY DELIVERY WAS AWESOME! COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER DOCTOR! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Success! Overall I would rate this visit : outstanding! I DO TO ALL MY FRIENDS Thank you Dr.Elias Kanaan

Dr. was anything but professional. He loudly told patient he was terminal and dying and did it like he was disgusted. Patient was unable to communicate well due to brain tumor. This was witnessed by family member in attendance.

What is it about country doctors? Dr. Kannan believes he knows better than my psychiatrist, and on the suggestion of my psychiatrist, I fired him as my primary care doctor. Elias Kanaan, MD knows very little about psychiatry. If one has a sore throat or a broken arm, he's the guy to go to. But any more complex health concerns, one should seek health advice elsewhere, preferably closer into Houston, they seem more capable and better trained than these small town doctors.

He is a fantastic doctor! It may take a bit of a wait to see him, but he takes his time and listens to the problems instead of rushing you through.
