I have been to this office twice, and have never seen Dr. Dugano-Daphnis. They outsource the labs (in the office) My son is now a patient. The doctor saw him three weeks ago and the nurse did not update the medication for a pre-approval with our insurance. Now three weeks later, we need to fill a prescription, get a pre-authorization and wait an additional 5 days for approval with the insurance company. I called the doctors office, was transferred to the nurse to have it put in, and waited on hold for 42 minutes until I finally called back. When I called back, I was told that she would send a "note" to the nurse to submit the preauthorization. This practice is poorly managed, and the work ethic of the people working there is very poor. No pride in their work and low moral. Terrible place for health care.

I liked Dr. Daphnis but I could no longer put up with her medical assistant Amanda so I'm no longer a patient. Amanda was very short with me, called in wrong medications, and took 4-5 days to call back when I was having a medical problem. I got the impression that no one cared. I really do think Dr. Daphnis is a good doctor, just needs a better staff and better time management. The wait was always long but the time she spent with me was always short.

I have been a patient of Dr. Daphnis since 2000. Many of the staff problems evident in her years with the group are now resolved with her new office and staff. I am glad that she was able to keep her nurse, Amanda. Amanda does refer patient questions to Dr. Daphnis, which in my opinion, is the way it should be. I have received good care, and excellent diagnoses. I appreciate the caring, friendly relationahip.

I really like Dr. Daphnis as a doctor and a caring person. However, being so dissatisfied with her nurse (Amanda) and office staff, I have decided to go to another doctor. I can't take the lack of compassion and caring of her support staff (namely, the nurse). It's constant phone tag and promises of call-backs that never happen. It's very disappointing and even when I did manage to get the nurse on the phone, she never knew the answer to anything and was never helpful and always cold and short. Dr. Daphnis is a good doctor, but spent our whole appts. typing and was in and out to where I never felt my needs were fully addressed, yet I heard her spending two to three times the amount of time w/other patients. Very upsetting. I liked her though, but too many negatives. Needs a new support staff for sure.

Once Dr. Daphnis joined Hermann Medical Group, administrative service went from excellent to pool. Bills for services rendered for more than 6 months in the past and and prior to Dr. Daphnis joining Memorial Hermann were sent even though no balance was due. Memorial Hermann acknowledged in writing that no balance was due, but bills kept being sent and a collection agency was hired. When Dr. Daphnis and her office were contacted directly, they said this was an issue to be worked with Memorial Hermann even though she was not part of the medical group at that time; when asked for details about what services were covered by the bill, these could not be provided. While Dr. Daphnis is a fine physician, the office environment is such that everyone seems to be in over their heads. Inquiries about bill details (e.g., list procedures covered by bill, cost per procedure, reason being billed now when bill was covered by insurance) would not be answered. Good doctor, poor office and business.
