I hate this man and his staff...he destroyed my skin and now it's damaged. I will never go back to this man again.

I am a doctor. My family, other doctors and friends all see Dr. Grossman. Some of the previous comments show how little patients understand about the doctors they see -often confusing manner with competence. Dr. Grossman is a worldwide expert dermatologist. He is a professor of dermatology. He runs the consultation teaching service in dermatology at a major nyc teaching center and is widely sought after by doctors and students for his incredible knowledge and experience. He teaches dermatology review courses. He's recently published another definitive text/atlas of dermatology and is widely published in both dermatology texts and major medical journals. You can't do better. Get over the manner...ask yourself why you're there.

I've been to a bunch of doctors, and Dr. Grossman was the only one who could solve my acne problem! In regard to the poor ratings, read between the lines, people. Dr. Grossman may not have the best attitude, but he knows his stuff better than 99.9\% of doctors.

Dr. Grossman is indeed a gross man: he has the worst manner I have ever seen from a doctor who has supposedly been trained in the area of communicating with patients. I waited for about 45 mins (past the scheduled appointment) and he spent like 3 mins while he treated me like a piece of junk. Despite his over-confidence, he did not solve my problem completely. I hope all prospective patients will check this website and stop seeing him.

Dr. Grossman has saved the lives of people I have sent to him - and he's helped me so much with a variety of issues!

I concur with the other ratings. In my opinion, Dr. Grossman has absolutely no bedside manner and exhibits both pompous and arrogant behavior. His office staff is similarly unfriendly and insensitive. I only occasionally need to see a dermatologist, so I am not a frequent patient. When I called recently to schedule an appointment with Dr. Grossman, I was told that since the last time I had seen him was 3 years ago, I was considered a new patient, and he is not seeing new patients now. When I asked for a suggestion of another dermatologist, the receptionist told me she had no idea. Evidently the lack of caring about patients extends from Dr. Grossman to his staff.

I agree with all the comments that he is very rude. He suspected that I had PCOS (which is a female hormone imbalance) and did NOTHING about it. When I was sent to an endocrinologist by another doc, she was horrified that that he at least didn't order blood work to test for this symdrome- OR at least send me to an endocrinolgist!!!! It turns out that I do have PCOS and will for the rest of my life. Very upsetting that he suspected something and did nothing about it. Will never go back, and I will tell everyone I know about how awful my experience was.

I was seen for 5 minutes. I waited one full hour only to be interrupted when I was explaining my medical history of transplantation and immunosuppressants by a rude, condescending, mean spirited "It doesn't matter". Never went back, I regret even writing that check for 300.00. He is the typical doctor that got into medicine for the prestige and money. Absolutely horrifying.

I second the opinion that he was very rude. I was made to undergo a torturous biopsy only to find that I had a mild case of eczema. With all that said and done he did not even prescibe me a topical cream for the skin.
